Trump shows how powerful the presidency is and how many loopholes the constitution has.

Our founding fathers likely never anticipated that we could have such an inept treasonous individual for president who would utilize every ounce of power the office of the president possesses to enrich himself and sell the country to foreign powers.

It did not help that on matters like trade, the president has wide latitude to impose tariffs, negotiate or break agreements and so on. It used to be the purview of Congress. Years ago they ceded that to the presidency in order to make it easier to negotiate treaties. It's all well and good until you get a con man in charge.


The remedy , impeachment and removal is wholly inadequate when that president has the help of a complicit congress which until recently was controlled by his party.

There are going to be many theses written on Trump.

Some in political science analyzing the whole behavior of the GOP in the trump era, some in psychology investigating how he managed to indoctrinate so many people. It has become a cult. Some of his most hardcore followers are completely removed from reality and take everything he says as gospel.

Democratic candidates should never concede until all votes are in.

I realize conceding does not carry any legal weight, but still it sends the wrong message when in some instances thousands or even hundred of thousands of votes are still uncounted.

I am glad to see president Obama on the campaign trail not mincing his words.

He is not hesitating to say the republicans are lying. Using that actual word 'lies'. I remember a time when it was taboo to say that even if it was the case. The president is out there firing on all cylinders.
