https://www.oregonlive.com/crime/2020/08/demonstrators-gather-for-83rd-night-of-protests-march-to-multnomah-building-live-updates.html
"The demonstration was peaceful for more than an hour, but demonstrators lit fires in dumpsters and broke windows. About an hour after arriving, small fires were seen inside the building beyond the broken windows.

About 10:30 p.m., police, who had not been seen previously, moved into the area and declared a riot, pushing protesters away. For the next hour and a half, demonstrators moved throughout the streets of inner Southeast Portland, being pushed north intermittently by groups of officers in riot
Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury released a statement at midnight regarding the damage to the county building, saying a small group of protesters had set fire to the Office of Community Involvement."

The Democratic National Convention Speaker List Is a Look at the Party's Identity Crisis

https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a33623915/democratic-convention-republican-speakers-john-kasich/

"While the sitting president spent his morning chatting with his therapists on Fox & Friends, the Democratic Party was busy laying bare the basic conflicts between its present and its future. The folks running the Democratic National Convention released a new list of event speakers, including those slated to speak during the convention's opening night on Monday, and it was fairly revelatory regarding the Biden campaign's strategy. In short, a slate of Republicans have secured themselves speaking slots:

Former New Jersey Governor Christie Todd Whitman
Meg Whitman, the CEO of Quibi
Former New York Congresswoman Susan Molinari
Former Ohio Governor John Kasich"

"Disney World likes to market itself as the most magical place on earth, and luckily for the Portland Timbers, they’ve been able to harness enough of that magic to win the MLS is Back tournament in Orlando, Florida.

The Timbers beat Orlando City, 2-1, in the final of the MLS is Back competition Tuesday, capping off a Cinderella run through an unusual one-off tournament hosted in a “bubble” at Disney World where teams could avoid COVID-19."

Portland officials warn non-violent demonstrators to avoid protests that veer toward destruction

https://www.oregonlive.com/portland/2020/08/portland-officials-warn-non-violent-demonstrators-to-avoid-protests-that-veer-toward-destruction.html
"Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler on Thursday urged non-violent protesters to either avoid city gatherings where violence is likely to occur, intervene if they see it or risk being used as a “prop” in national advertisements to aid President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.

Wheeler, who is also the city’s police commissioner, said he is authorizing Portland officers and as well as county and state law enforcement agencies helping police demonstrations to “do whatever is necessary to safely hold these individuals accountable who are engaged in criminal activity and bring these nightly activities to a close.” He didn’t elaborate on what he meant."
"The officials particularly keyed in on a gathering in East Portland on Wednesday at which Portland police declared the event a riot and used tear gas. They did so after protesters marched to the police precinct, spray painted security cameras and a glass door in front of the building, tore plywood off some windows, cracked glass doors, lit contents inside a garbage can on fire and placed it and plywood in front of an entrance."

Well there is too much to edit and quote on my cellphone but the rioting in Portland continues . The trouble has moved to police buildings in precincts away from the downtown area.
Rioters continue to provoke a situation by committing acts of vandalism. This time on police stations.
