I saw the donald pulled out of the upcoming primary due to the host and something in the press release, so I looked up the press release (hosted by FUXNEWS and google). I quickly became interested in how the format is setup and how people not in Iowa will be able to interact with the debate. I watched 2 democratic debates and I am just wondering why the heck we can't do something like this on our side? It actually sounds really cool....

"... the debate will incorporate real-time Google trends and data to determine questions for the candidates. Additionally, several YouTube stars will have the opportunity to pose questions via submitted videos on topics of importance to them.

On the Google Trends homepage, viewers will have the chance to interact with the debate during the telecast. The page will feature real-time insights on candidate search interest, key issues and topics covered throughout the night. Real-time Google Trends will be showcased during the FOX News post-debate analysis. Leading up to January 28th, Google users will have the opportunity to preview the upcoming debate through various content, including a video and election-related search terms."

That sounds like a great idea, too bad it was wasted on the clown car debates. Did we have this type of real time interaction and analysis in any of our debates? Apologies if I just didn't know it and made you read part of a fuxnews press release :p

My family isn't exactly able to afford college, so it was highschool -> Vietnam for my dad. We found this picture in an old box the other day... my dad before he shipped out. So many young kids were sent, but sometimes a single picture from a crappy 60's camera can hit home better than a zoomed out group picture

The arrests in Sacramento, California, and Houston did not appear to be directly related, but the cases had several similarities.

Both men were Palestinians born in Iraq and living as refugees in the United States, according to the U.S. Justice Department. And both of them are accused of lying to immigration officials about their alleged ties to terrorist organizations.

BERLIN — The tensions simmering beneath Germany’s willingness to take in one million migrants blew into the open on Tuesday after reports that scores of young women in Cologne had been groped and robbed on New Year’s Eve by gangs of men described by the authorities as having “a North African or Arabic” appearance.

Taking advantage of the New Year’s Eve street party, hundreds of young men broke into groups and formed rings around young women, refusing to let them escape, the authorities said. Some groped victims while others stole wallets or cellphones.

Witnesses described the atmosphere around the city’s central train station as aggressive and threatening, with firecrackers being thrown into the crowd. The women who were attacked screamed and tried to fight their way free, a man who had struggled to protect his girlfriend told German public television.
