Roxy Erickson dead at 71.
I didn’t start listening to the 13th floor elevator until the 80’s. To me, they were the original punks. In 1966, while every Baby Boomer was growing their hair, this band had nice boy haircuts.
I really felt sorry for Roky. He suffered from schizophrenia. My brother and sister suffered from that very disease. However, Like Brian Wilson who suffered from that mental illness, Roky was a creative Genius. Goodbye forever, however your music will live on forever.
