Old abandoned prisons, factories etc are being re-purposed into gigantic grow facilities. Creating, re-invigorating areas/towns that were depressed into now growing economies.
Blight is being reversed.

Think about it like this, if our nation adopted the concept of grow it here, buy it here, consume it here to factories and manufacturing, how our national economy would grow..

Bill Cosby has refused to take a polygraph. Even if it isn't admissible in court, it could go a long way to clearing him if he truly were innocent. I'm guessing he is guilty as hell but the legal system needs to investigate and if evidence warrants, prosecute Cosby.

just to name a few, think of how many unreported rape/SA's that have happened where women won't come forward, knowing they'll be treated like the criminal by police or prosecutors.
No wonder so many women are reluctant to ever report rape.
Rape is becoming one of the most UN/UNDERPROSECUTED crimes of our society.
Our society needs to pass laws that enable the federal govt to investigate/prosecute if warranted, when it appears that a local prosecutor dropped the ball on a rape complaint by ignoring or conspiring to cover it up. Like murder, there should be no statute of limitations on prosecuting rape. If Cosby raped back in the 70's he should still be fully indictable for that crime.
Until this happens, America is the land of unpunished serial rapists.
Unprosecuted rape is a societal cancer that can only be cured by tough federal laws.

Swimmers who dive into any number of Canadian lakes might not emerge clean and refreshed, but dripping with globs that resemble slimy fish eggs. A legacy of industrial pollution has caused great changes in the country's water chemistry, creating a boom in tiny organisms that transform lakes into "jelly."
That's the gooey news from scientists behind a new paper in Proceedings of the Royal Society B, who say that populations of this particular organism have doubled since the 1980s in many of Ontario's lakes. The reasons involve a complex dance of species, but here's the short version: Acid rain caused by smelting operations and other human activity removed calcium from the soil in drainage areas. That depleted the calcium levels in many lakes, which has hurt a kind of plankton (Daphnia) that needs the element to build armor. Enter a competing plankton, Holopedium, which requires far less calcium to bulk up and is coated with a gel that's excellent at repelling predators.
