Guns don't kill people! But they do occasionally shoot people!

http://freakoutnation.com/2015/10/kansas-man-in-theater-oh-my-god-i-just-shot-myself-i-just-got-my-concealed-and-carry/

A bill signed last month by Gov. Sam Brownback allows residents in Kansas to carry concealed firearms without a permit or training.
Now, what could possibly go wrong?

Oh, crap. Almost forgot to tell you...

I was driving on the "beltline" in Madison, and I came upon a car with a "Clinton 16" bumper sticker. Well, I had actually seen my first "Bernie 2016" bumper sticker a few days previous.

I was a bit annoyed (Being one of those Clinton "haters" ) so I got up closer. To my complete surprise - upon further review - it actually said "Carson 16". Now that blew my mind.

I absolutely had to pull up next to this car just to look at this loon. I pulled up, and it was a 60 year old something white guy. He looked at me and I looked into an abyss which will forever be seared into my brain. He was what we politely refer to as a "low information voter". Bless his heart.

Artist Nathan Sawaya’s LEGO Batmobile Gears Up to Tour the World

http://nerdist.com/artist-nathan-sawayas-lego-batmobile-gears-up-to-tour-the-world/

When thinking of superhero vehicles, or even just vehicles from comic books in general, there’s pretty much only one name on the list followed by wannabes and pretenders: The Batmobile. What would Batman be without it? Slower, that’s for sure. Over the years there have been dozens if not hundreds of distinct Batmobile designs by talented artists and craftspeople, which featured in print and toy, television and film, live action and animation. We can now add a brand new design to the list and it’s been realized by Los Angeles-based artist Nathan Sawaya whose chosen medium is something everybody loves: LEGO.

I was lucky to get to go into Sawaya’s personal Batcave — his studio, The Art of the Brick, of course — to get to see the fruits of months-long labor. During San Diego Comic-Con this summer, a panel was held wherein DC Comics co-publisher and comic book artist Jim Lee, on the spot, created a new Batmobile design taking suggestions from the audience. The result was a throwback to which featured some new design elements. Using those suggestions and his own imagination, Sawaya spent the next three months honing the design and getting ready to build a full-sized, 18-foot-long car made of solid LEGO bricks, 500,000 of them to be exact. That’s right: half a million.

“Jim did a great job of detailing out the wings and that there’d be the exhaust, and such like that,” Sawaya told me as we circled the amazing piece of physical art. “Then I put my own interpretation on it. For example, one of the things Jim wanted to do — he had Batman, and Robin sitting behind him in the Batmobile, but he had more of an open cockpit. I decided to fill it in. They’re still in there. You just can’t see them.”

The detail on the car is insane. You can’t see it from the pictures, but the wheels have little Bat Symbol holes in the spokes, made by putting LEGO bricks together. No carving was done either. “Not everyone, but there’s going to be someone — and it’s usually probably someone this tall,” Sawaya said, indicating a wheel-height young person, “who will notice that, and it’s for them. It’s for those kids out there who spend the time looking at all the details of a piece like this. I want to reward them a little bit. If you’re really looking, you’re going to see little things like that.”

Why do I support BS?

I'm a 60 yr old baby boomer (whatever the heck that means) and I've seen it all. I know what's up. I know the sickness and I know the cure. Simple as that.

Love to all in making a thoughtful decision. E. S. E. Dump

Big-Name Plan B’s for Democrats Concerned About Hillary Clinton

If Hillary Rodham Clinton’s new apology for her private email server fails to reassure jittery supporters, it could amplify the chatter among some Democrats who have been casting about for a potential white knight to rescue the party from a beleaguered Clinton candidacy.

Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., Secretary of State John Kerry, Senator Elizabeth Warren, former Vice President Al Gore: Each has been discussed among party officials in recent weeks as an alternative to Mrs. Clinton if she does not regain her once-dominant standing in the 2016 presidential field and instead remains mired in the long-running email controversy, with its attendant investigations.

It is not just Mrs. Clinton’s weakness in the polls that has generated talk of other alternatives, but also the strength of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who is routinely drawing huge crowds at campaign events. That has been disconcerting to Democratic officials who believe that Mr. Sanders, a socialist, is so liberal that his presence at the top of the party’s ticket in 2016 would be disastrous.

“If party leaders see a scenario next winter where Bernie Sanders has a real chance at the Democratic nomination, I think there’s no question that leaders will reach out to Vice President Biden or Secretary of State Kerry or even Gore about entering the primaries,” said Garnet F. Coleman, a Texas state lawmaker and Democratic national committeeman.

Proof that the "Democratic Party" want's ANYONE but Bernie. I hope this can convince some people that the Democratic party is NOT working for all Democrats, but only third-way corporatists and their mesmerized followers.

But Hillary supporters should be worried. Maybe it's time to side with the real progressive candidate?
