An open letter to the people who hate Obama more than they love America.

Now that you have thrown everything and the kitchen sink at President Obama and it still hasn't worked you are panicking. Obama's approval ratings are still near 50% despite your best efforts to undermine the economy and America's recovery at every step you can. You tried to hold the American economy hostage to force America into default on its' debts, debts that YOU rang up under Bush, so you could blame it on Obama and it failed. You've used the filibuster more than any other Congress ever, going so far as to vote against providing health care access to 9/11 first responders. You remember 9/11, don't you, it's that thing you used to lie us into a war in Iraq, and then when Obama killed Bin Laden and ended the war in Iraq you told people that he hates America and wants the troops to fail. You monsters. You hate Obama with a passion, despite the fact that he is a tax cutting, deficit reducing war President who undermines civil rights and delivers corporate friendly watered down reforms that benefit special interests just like a Republican. You call him a Kenyan. You call him a socialist. You dance with your hatred singing it proudly in the rain like it was a 1950's musical.

Frankly, you disgust me. Your hatred nauseates me. Your bigotry offends me. Your racism revolts me.

Dear haters, I am openly questioning your patriotism.

I think you hate gays, Obama, black people, poor people, all of us, women, atheists and agnostics, Latinos, Muslims, Liberals, all of us, I think you hate every one who isn't exactly like you, and I think you hate us more than you love your country.

If there were any doubt, here is Gov./Ambassador Richardson.

Richardson, who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, said Hillary Clinton is the pro-business candidate who can win the White House in 2016.

While Sanders has pushed the party to the extreme left, Clinton will bring the message back to the center during the general election, said Richardson. He supported Barack Obama for president in 2008 over the former first lady, who later became Obama's secretary of state.

"Clinton is going to be somebody, I think, the American people see as moderate," Richardson said. "The country moves to the center in a general election."

We knew all along her parroting Bernie's causes was political theater, and guess what? It worked!!

"the pro-business candidate" - check!
"Clinton will bring the message back to the center" - check!
"moderate" - check!
"moves to the center in a general election" - check!

Funny how we Berners always knew this. She's moving back into the third-way, DLC cocoon. SURPRISE!!! NOT.

I guess I'm a little slow on the uptake....

I just now came to the realization that I need to put all HC supporters on ignore. I've seen no evidence they are willing to explain their support for HC, despite all of the evidence presented by other DU members that demand explanation.

The evidence isn't "it's time to have a woman president". For the record, I believe the vast majority of the electorate would vote for a woman, (period!!). However, people will also vote for the person (all things considered and all things being equal) that most appeals to their personal views.

Bernie Sanders has helped people understand it's not about anything other than who will change the status quo for the betterment of all Americans (regardless of any physical attribute that you were born with).

That statement is inclusive of people that deal with gender identity issues, which is an issue very close to my heart, and those that have been left out of American society. The people that represent the native tribes that were established on this continent WAY earlier than those that CONTINUE to subdue them. IT JUST TURNS MY STOMACH!!!!

Sorry for the rant - carry on....

Email received from Tim Canova - DWS is really one sick puppy.

Dear Sisters and Brothers -

Sunday, at the grand opening of the Broward County Democratic Party's new headquarters, I spoke in a crowded room with Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I asked if she had read the letter we had sent last week. She said she had not read any letter from our campaign, even though we had sent it to three of her addresses, including her campaign headquarters, her DWS PAC, and her office at the Democratic National Committee.

I then produced a copy and said “I was happy to hand deliver it.” She refused to take the letter and told me to give it to one of her staffers. I said I would, and I told her the letter was proposing a series of debates throughout the district. I asked her if she would agree to scheduling debates. She asked how we could have debates when no one has even filed yet. I reminded her of what she said recently about the Democratic presidential debates on The Daily Show, that she would want the candidates to debate every day, and I'm proposing a lot fewer than every day. She cut off the discussion without agreeing to a single debate.

Later, when I was leaving the party, I noticed her staffer standing near a doorway. I thought, well at least I can hand her staffer the letter proposing a series of debates. But she refused to accept the letter, she said she had “nowhere” to put them. I suggested she put them in one of the two huge pocket bags she had over each of her shoulders. She said there was no room and that she had read the letter already.

That’s fine, for now. If the Wasserman Schultz campaign wants to play games and lash out at me and my staff, then we’ll stay focused on talking to the voters about the progressive vision we have for this country.
