Sarah Palin on 2016: 'Of Course' She's Interested

Source: ABC News

Just before she heads to Iowa for the first major conservative showcase of the 2016 election cycle, Sarah Palin said “of course” she’s interested in the 2016 presidential election.

“Yeah, I mean, of course, when you have a servant’s heart, when you know that there is opportunity to do all you can to put yourself forward in the name of offering service, anybody would be interested,” Palin told ABC News' Neal Karlinsky while serving wild boar chili to the homeless in Las Vegas Thursday.

When asked again if she could be “possibly” interested in a presidential campaign, she answered, “We definitely had enough of seeing that -- America has had enough of seeing that -- sign on the Oval Office door saying, 'No Girls Allowed.' I know that.”

While serving up bowls to those gathered in line, the former Alaska governor clarified, “It doesn’t necessarily have to be me, though, but no, America is definitely ready for real change.

“It doesn't have to be myself, but yes ... happy to drive that competition, because competition will make everyone better and produce more and be more candid regarding their solutions they will offer this country. I am very interested in that competitive process and, again, not necessarily me.”

The horrifying sound you're hearing is that of a door, left slightly ajar, creaking in the wind.

Colts Player: Patriots Actually Used Our Balls in Second Half

Source: Mediaite

Is it already time to bring an end to DeflateGate and an excuse to talk about balls? With this latest interview from Indianapolis Colts player D’Qwell Jackson, who shed new light on Deflate-Gate, it may be time.

Commentators initially speculated that Jackson, who intercepted a ball thrown to New England Patriots QB Tom Brady during last week’s AFC Championship game, noticed something weird about the softer ball and given it to a Colts equipment manager to be inspected. But during a press conference with journalists this morning, the linebacker said he just wanted Brady’s ball as a souvenir.

But most importantly, he indicated that the Patriots’ balls — all of them — were taken out of the game late in the first half, and that they had to play with the Colts’ balls:

He recalls, during a television timeout, there was an especially long delay that prompted him to approach an official.

The game official mentioned something about their efforts to locate a usable football. Shortly after, Jackson noticed that the Patriots were using the Colts’ footballs late in the first half. Jackson said it was odd to him that New England couldn’t find a football to use, especially in the AFC Championship Game.

Tom Brady: I didn’t alter the ball

See? Not guilty! (I'll admit I could've done without the #FLEXBALL ad in the background, though.)

Patriots' Tom Brady: 'I wouldn't do anything to break the rules'

Source: USA Today

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady addressed the team's Deflategate controversy Thursday afternoon.

"I didn't alter the ball in any way," said Brady, explaining he has a "process" to select the balls prior to any game, including Sunday's 45-7 AFC Championship Game victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

"I don't want anyone touching the balls after that ... to me those balls are perfect," he said of his pregame routine.

"Now that happened (balls were altered) obviously on Sunday night." However, he said he didn't detect a change over the course of Sunday night and didn't notice any difference in air pressure between the first and second halves of the game.

"I didn't think twice about it," said Brady. "Once I approve the ball, that's the ball I expect out there on the field."

Patriots coach says he doesn't know how balls were deflated

Source: AOL News

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Thursday he doesn't know how footballs became deflated during the game that got his team to the Super Bowl.

But Belichick declined to answer questions Thursday after saying he knew nothing about accusations that his team cheated with underinflated footballs in its win against the Colts in the AFC championship game.

The NFL is investigating.

"I had no knowledge of this situation until Monday morning," said Belichick, who said he was "shocked" to learn the news.
