Speaking of dangerous epidemics,

what about the epidemic of political cowardice that is currently raging through the GOP leadership?

They know that Trump is incompetent.

They know that Trump is nearly insane.

They know that Trump is selling out the country to Putin.

They know that Trump is stealing from the taxpayers.

And yet, knowing all of that, and having inside information about these things as well, 99.999% of GOP politicians are terrified of telling the truth to their voters.

"I am young and healthy. I refuse to quarantine".

I have read this response many times on a local Chicago area message board.

My response generally is to ask the writer: "Do you have parents, grandparents, older relatives, relatives with health conditions?"

If they respond and say, yes, I reply that I feel sorry for their relatives.

It is amazing, and depressing, how self-centered and oblivious many Trump voters can be.

Trump Melts Down After Biden Holds Flawless Press Conference

From the article:

Trump and his campaign have convinced themselves that the imaginary Joe Biden that they have dreamed up in their heads is real. The Joe Biden that held a press conference on Monday looked like a formidable opponent who is in control of the presidential election.

The Trump campaign keeps hoping that Biden commit gaffes or give them ammo that will allow them to shift the focus away from Trump and to the presumptive Democratic nominee, but that is not happening. Joe Biden gave a speech and took questions in a flawless manner. There were no gaffes or unclear language.

Poll: Most Americans Don't Believe Trump is the Right Person for the Job

From the article:

37 percent of Americans believe Trump has the right experience to be president compared to 67 percent who said the same of his Democratic opponent, former vice president Joe Biden. 61 percent say Trump doesn’t have the right experience. Independents in particular said by a wide margin that Trump lacks the right experience (68 percent to 27 percent).

“The poll could be simply a function of people who don’t like Trump not believing he’s up to the task and responding accordingly,” The Washington Post reported. “But it’s still notable that so few of his detractors see him as having the right experience to be president, even as he has so much experience as president.”

Good news, and part of a trend, but the GOP has raised election stealing to an art form, and there is every reason to think that Putin will help the GOP to cheat.

Is this considered good news, or bad news?

In a Darwinian sense, one might say that this is good news. In a moral sense, it is bad news.

Trump's Economy Approval Rating Drops Below 50% For The First Time In 3 Years

From the article:

More and more Americans are losing confidence in President Donald Trump’s ability to handle the economy, according to the latest Gallup poll that found his economic approval rating has dropped to 47 percent in June, a 16-point decrease from numbers reported at the beginning of the year. The poll was the first to show an economic approval rating below 50 percent since November 2017 (when 45 percent of Americans approved).

“In January, Americans were mostly positive about U.S. economic conditions, a record few cited the economy as the nation’s top problem and a solid majority approved of Trump’s handling of the economy,” Gallup reports. “Today, Americans’ views have turned negative, they are more likely to name the economy as the top problem and Trump’s job approval rating on the issue has dropped below 50%.”

Biden Says Trump Is Guilty Of Dereliction Of Duty If He Didn't Read Russia Bounty Briefing

From the article:

Biden said:
But if what I have heard over the last week and the recent reporting that it was in the PDB, the Presidential Daily Brief, the presidential daily brief is something I read every single day as vice president. The president read it every day. I was briefed every morning before I got to the white house and then again. So the idea that somehow he didn’t know or isn’t being briefed, it is a dereliction of duty if that’s the case. And if he was briefed and nothing was done about this, that’s a dereliction of duty.

Senior US Officials Say Delusional Trump Is A Danger To National Security

From the article:

In hundreds of highly classified phone calls with foreign heads of state, President Donald Trump was so consistently unprepared for discussion of serious issues, so often outplayed in his conversations with powerful leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Erdogan, and so abusive to leaders of America’s principal allies, that the calls helped convince some senior US officials — including his former secretaries of state and defense, two national security advisers and his longest-serving chief of staff — that the President himself posed a danger to the national security of the United States, according to White House and intelligence officials intimately familiar with the contents of the conversations.

The densest element in the known universe is Trumpium.

Trumpium is so dense that no fact can penetrate the outer shell.

Trumpium is so dense that the truth is repelled by a force field.

Trumpium is so dense that anyone infested with it cannot understand basic concepts relating to the US form of government.

Trumpium is so dense that …….
