Nancy Pelosi Calls Donald Trump The Biggest Failure In American History

From the article:

Days after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi started referring to COVID-19 as the “Trump virus,” she went straight after the president again, calling him the biggest failure in American history.

Pelosi said Trump’s incompetence is the reason why coronavirus cases are surging across the country and why millions of Americans are filing for unemployment insurance.

“Let me just say that this president has been the biggest failure practically in the history of our country,” Pelosi said.

A reality television clown with a history of failure quite predictably failed to rise to the job of President.

What is the worst that can happen if we elect a reality television con man as President?

We asked that question in 2016. Now, we know.

The biggest problem, in my view, is that 37% of American voters still think, if think is indeed the correct word, that Trump is competent, intelligent, and doing the correct thing.

We can micro-analyze this 37%, and say that with 43% not voting in 2016, the 37% is actually about 16%, but even 16% means 1 out of 6 random voters likes Trump.

But we have 2 huge challenges ahead of us.

1) We must produce a blu-nami and return control of the Senate, House, and Presidency to the Party of sanity.

2) Repair the damage caused by the GOP.

Rejecting symbols of hate is more than symbolic

From the article:

What’s been the message of Confederate monuments and flags? It depends on who you are.

If you’re a Black teenager in the South, each day passing a memorial to someone who committed treason in order to keep your ancestors enslaved, how might that make you feel? If you’re a white American who still points to the “heritage” of the “lost cause," it might further ingrain your denial of the brutality of slavery and how racism continues today.

A nation that still honors Confederate signs in public places signals its belief that Black people are less important than white people
, that Black people’s trauma can be disregarded. Confederate flags signal to the public that it’s okay to keep ignoring the worst and ugliest sins of our past, while trying to create an impenetrable barrier to a different and better future.

Rachel Maddow praised former Vice President Joe Biden’s tough stand against Russia on Monday, saying it’s a sign that if the former VP wins in November, the United States will again have a president who holds foreign adversaries accountable.

“Dream of competent, uncompromised governance that stands up for our sovereignty against foreign countries that are trying to eat our democracy,” Maddow said. “Dream big!”

The MSNBC host also pointed out that Biden’s line in the sand against Vladimir Putin will put Republicans in a corner.

Biden Tells Putin That The Days Of Having A Puppet In The White House Are Numbered

From the article:

In a wide-ranging discussion with MSNBC’s Joy Reid on Monday, former Vice President Joe Biden blasted Donald Trump for failing his country on everything from the coronavirus to Russian election interference.

On the pandemic, Biden said Trump has “no sense of empathy or concern for people,” even as hundreds of thousands of Americans are ill and dying from a virus he let spread unchecked in the early months of this crisis.

“Have you heard a word of him talking about how badly he feels about the losses, about the emptiness?” Biden said.

Trump Says He Will Sign Imaginary Healthcare Plan In 2 Weeks

From the article:

WALLACE: But you’ve been in office three and a half years, you don’t have a plan.

TRUMP: Well, we haven’t had. Excuse me. You heard me yesterday. We’re signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan that the Supreme Court decision on DACA gave me the right to do. So we’re going to solve — we’re going to sign an immigration plan, a health care plan, and various other plans. And nobody will have done what I’m doing in the next four weeks.

Trump Tax Returns Case Moves At Light Speed As Supreme Court Issues Formal Ruling

From the article:

The US Supreme Court granted the Manhattan district attorney’s request to immediately issue its judgment in the case over President Donald Trump’s tax returns, paving the way for new challenges to a grand jury subpoena to be handled by a lower court judge.

The district attorney asked for that time to be cut short, and Trump’s attorney agreed. Friday, Chief Justice John Roberts said the request is granted.

It usually takes 25 days for a judgment to formally issued by the Supreme Court. The speed-up means that the case is still on an accelerated timeline. Trump only has a month to add new challenges to the subpoena from the Manhattan DA.

It is important to note, per the bolded section, that this does not mean an immediate release of Trump's returns, it simply accelerates the timetable.
