Human101948's JournalIt's time for President Obama to round up the terrorists among us...
Domestic terrorists who threaten to overturn our elected government and install a theocracy. Domestic terrorists who will not abide by the decisions of our highest courts. Domestic terrorists in Congress who are holding hostage the smooth functioning of our government to extort concessions that they cannot win in fair democratic elections. Domestic terrorists who have pledged their fealty to shady special interests like Grover Norquist and the Koch brothers.
I demand that they be arrested and imprisoned now! Take then to the FEMA/Walmart processing centers. Ferry them in the Blue Bell ice cream trucks to the prison camps. Now is the time!

How would you rate Donald Trump's face?
Since Trump is rating everyone else's appearance, I thought it would be instructive to get some feedback on the Donald's visage.
My rating is "Butt Ugly."
Any thoughts?
Chris Christie gets closer to an indictment...
United Airlines CEO canned as probe into Bridgegate crony, David Samson, heats up.
Late Update: We've just updated the piece. This part should be interesting ...
On at least one occasion, August 23, 2013, Chris Christie and David Samson together met with United CEO Smisek to discuss this arrangement. Two months prior to that meeting, and two months after signing of the new lease at Newark, thirteen United executives donated a total of $31,500 toward Christies re-election effort.

Any time someone tells you that slavery was not the reason for the Civil War, show them this speech
The Cornerstone Speech, also known as the Cornerstone Address, was an oration delivered by Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens at the Athenaeum in Savannah, Georgia, on March 21, 1861.The new Constitution has put at rest forever all the agitating questions relating to our peculiar institutionsAfrican slavery as it exists among usthe proper status of the negro in our form of civilization. This was the immediate cause of the late rupture and present revolution. Jefferson, in his forecast, had anticipated this, as the "rock upon which the old Union would split." He was right. What was conjecture with him, is now a realized fact. But whether he fully comprehended the great truth upon which that rock stood and stands, may be doubted. The prevailing ideas entertained by him and most of the leading statesmen at the time of the formation of the old Constitution were, that the enslavement of the African was in violation of the laws of nature; that it was wrong in principle, socially, morally and politically. It was an evil they knew not well how to deal with; but the general opinion of the men of that day was, that, somehow or other, in the order of Providence, the institution would be evanescent and pass away... Those ideas, however, were fundamentally wrong. They rested upon the assumption of the equality of races. This was an error. It was a sandy foundation, and the idea of a Government built upon itwhen the "storm came and the wind blew, it fell."

My jaw dropped the first time I heard the statement that the Civil War was not about slavery. I was not well informed enough to counter that stunning falsehood.
Rude Pundit on Christie's big blowout in Livingston NJ high school gym...
And, as befits a giant asshole, he got more angry as he talked about what he sees as wrong with the nation, right after he said that the country wasn't angry. He talked about his love of his job and New Jersey, right after he talked about how much time he spent away from the state that elected him governor twice and now despises him with the heat and pain of a spicy pepper sausage hero from the Seaside Heights boardwalk being crapped out. He blew loose stool all over President Obama, who he had embraced as his state's savior in 2012 after the catastrophic storm that flooded him to a huge reelection.

Damn that Obama! U.S. manufacturers grew in June at fastest rate in five months
U.S. manufacturers grew in June at fastest rate in five months: ISMBy Jeffry Bartash
Published: July 1, 2015 10:09 a.m. ET
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - U.S. manufacturers grew in June at the fastest rate since the start of 2015, a survey of executives found. The Institute for Supply Management said its manufacturing index rose to 53.5% last month from 52.8% in May, matching its highest level of this year. The index was also above the 53.2 forecast of economists surveyed by MarketWatch. Readings over 50% indicate more companies are expanding instead of shrinking. The employment gauge jumped 3.8 points to 55.5%. The ISM's new-orders index edged up to 56.0% from 55.8%.
Does Christie's wife look like an idiot, smiling like a fool and gazing adoringly at her husband?
I find her disturbing.
