Human101948's JournalChris Christie Says Equal Pay is Too Expensive--Here's A Solution
...For example, if a maid is doing similar work as a male janitor, they would be paid the same. That is if the bill, which passed in both houses of the states legislature, had been signed into law by Christie.
But it is just too business unfriendly.
...If Christie wants any advice, heres a tip.
Lets propose a bill that drops mens wages down to the same rate as womens? It will make New Jersey so incredibly business friendly AND youll accomplish equal pay among the genders.

Hillary, Get Ready for the Full Trump Treatment...
Want To Know Trumps General Election Strategy? Check Out Who Hes Having Lunch With.Salon reporter Simon Maloy puts it more bluntly: Ed Klein is a hack, a conspiracy theorist, and a fraud, he wrote. All of these hot scoops are based on anonymous sources who always happen to be present when the most powerful people in the country cook up their various schemes and conspiracies, and who then provide verbatim details of those highly scandalous conversations exclusively to Ed Klein.
Of course, it is not odd that Trump would dine with such a polarizing person. In fact, its par the course for Trumps strategy in the run-up to a potential general election face-off with Clinton. Trump himself has been attempting to tone down his trademark inflammatory rhetoric. But at the same time, hes surrounded himself with men who gained success by provoking offense and appealing to shock value.
Last month in New York, for example, as Trump stood behind a podium and called for unity within the Republican party, he was flanked by a man named Carl Paladino. An original Tea Party hero, Paladino is known for more than a few zany antics: forwarding emails containing racist memes and horse porn; brandishing baseball bats in the state capitol; bragging about boycotting a gay pride parade; and claiming people on welfare need to be taught personal hygiene, among other things.

Why are Hillary supporters so nervous and angry?
They keep doing the "math" and grumbling like Captain Queeg rolling the steel balls in his hands and complaining about "disloyalty"
"...a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
This is what Sanders has allowed his campaign to become. When he finally DOES face reality, I expect that his most rabid supporters will turn on him. He will get no sympathy from me, and the likely hood of my choosing to ever respect him again shrinks with each passing moment.
Of course, this famous speech from MacBeth begins with the announcement:
"The queen, my lord, is dead."
BUSTED: Hypocrite Hillary Caught Hoarding 99 Percent of Funds Raised for State Parties
Who here doesnt recall the months of bitter ridicule that Bernie Sanders endured at the hands of the Clinton campaign for not having spent enough time or effort to raise funds for down-ballot Democrats and/or state party committees? Hillary and crew proudly held themselves up as a role model for how to do it, boasting about having raised many millions of dollars for state Democratic Party committees and candidates, in addition to funds for the Clinton campaign itself.
Now it turns out those claims were all part of a big hoax.

Conservative Think Tank President Says Voter ID Helps Conservatives Win Elections
Jim DeMint, the president of the conservative Heritage Foundation and former senator from South Carolina, became the latest in a growing list of Republican lawmakers who have admitted the real intention of voter ID laws. In an interview last week, the Tea Party leader asserted that the laws have shifted elections toward conservative candidates because they are blocking Democratic voters.

Hillary's Superdelegates should stop whining...
Well, heres my assessment. Clinton remains comfortably ahead of Sanders in pledged delegates stemming from primaries and caucuses, and shes winning the popular vote as well. But Clintons early stockpile of superdelegate support helped bestow upon her an early air of inevitability, which in turn bolstered her general election electability acumen and contributed to the sense that her primary opponent was too marginal for prime time. This conveyed to Sanders supporters the clear sense that the system is rigged which is fair because, as Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and the DNC remind us by their actions and words, it is.
Unpledged delegates exist really to make sure that party leaders and elected officials dont have to be in a position where they are running against grass-roots activists, Wasserman Schultz aptly put it in February.
No one likes getting an unwelcome phone call during dinner. I get that. But superdelegates find themselves in the uncomfortable position of having the power to put their very heavy thumbs on the primary scale. Parties can, of course, make their own rules. But that doesnt mean that party members cant find such rules to be outrageous. After all, a lot of rules are: like in 2000, when Al Gore won the popular vote but lost the election. If superdelegates dont want to be in this position again, they should embrace the just cause of their own abolition. Its quite likely that Sanders will lose. But he will come to Philadelphia with a massive haul of delegates and tons of leverage to kick off the long process of transforming the party. Getting rid of superdelegates should be somewhere near the top of his wish list.http://www.salon.com/2016/04/14/hillary_clintons_superdelegates_should_stop_whining_why_sanders_supporters_have_every_right_to_question_to_question_their_super_votes/
After Citizens United, Supreme Court looks ready to legalize political bribery...
In its Citizens United ruling, the court gutted campaign finance laws. It acknowledged that American politics faced the threat of giftgivers and donors trying to corrupt the system, but it held that campaign finance laws were the
wrong way to deal with that problem; bribery laws were the better path. Now, though, the court seems ready to gut bribery laws, saying that campaign finance laws provide a better approach. But if both campaign finance laws and bribery laws are now regarded as problematic, whats left?
With the Supreme Court apparently imagining that there is some other, simple to enforce bribery law, we citizens are left emptyhanded. This is the first case since Justice Antonin Scalias passing to directly address what corruption is; the issue is a critical test of the court.
At the Constitutional Convention in 1787, the framers devoted themselves to building a system that would be safe from moneyed influence. If we do not provide against corruption, argued the Virginia delegate George Mason, our government will soon be at an end.
Today, Virginias former governor proposes that there is a fundamental constitutional right to buy and sell access. If the court finds in his favor, it will have turned corruption from a wrong into a right.

Bridgegate defendants may open new can of worms for Christie...
Lawyer says he wants Christie's cell phone in GWB lane-closure case...Baldassare made the claims during a 90-minute court hearing in which defense attorneys and prosecutors made their final arguments before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton who will decide whether to allow the case to proceed to trial.
In the hallway outside the courtroom, Baldassare said: "I want the Governor's phone and Regina Egea's phone, and [former Christie spokesman] Michael Drewniak's, and every other person whose phone the government said he gave to Gibson Dunn."
Wigenton gave Baldassare one week to file court papers laying out his new information and she gave prosecutors one week to file their response.
