Police biker thug was a OWS infiltrator...

An undercover New York City police detective accused of being one of 11 motorcyclists who assaulted a driver in Upper Manhattan testified on Tuesday that he became frightened for his own safety when he saw the man being pummeled and fled instead of intervening to help him.

The detective, who is married with two children and lives in Long Island City, Queens, said he had been an undercover officer for more than six years. He worked first on narcotics cases, making more than 250 drug purchases. More recently, he was assigned to infiltrate the Occupy Wall Street movement for the Intelligence Division.

Why On Earth Is Chris Christie Still Pretending To Run For President?

...But the truth is Christie stands out in every poll over Republican proto-candidates in almost any state where there’s polling as someone GOP voters have considered and rejected. His favorable/unfavorable ratio in the most recent national poll of Republicans was at 31/52 (PPP, May 13). In an April poll for NBC asking if Republicans could envision themselves ever supporting various candidates, fully 50 percent said “no” to any support for Christie, far more than for any other name. In the latest Iowa survey (from Quinnipiac) he’s running eighth at 3 percent, despite very high name ID, and has a favorable/unfavorable ratio of 32/56.

Even in New Hampshire, a more naturally congenial state for Christie and one where he’s spent a lot of time, he’s not doing well. A May 6 WMUR/UNH survey showed him running tenth in the Granite State—behind Carly Fiorina—with 3 percent of the vote. And his favorable/unfavorable ratio, while better than it is nationally, was still underwater at 39/40.

Christie’s plunged so far in the Invisible Primary that pollsters have stopped testing him against Hillary Clinton, though an April poll for NBC had him losing to her by 19 points—not too great for a candidacy based heavily on electability.

I want him to be disgraced and humiliated, with people shouting "Idiot!" and "Shut up and sit down!" at him everywhere he goes.

Support Our Troops: Lawmakers Back Broader Access to Contraceptives for Women in the Military

Apparently all the opposition to contraception melts away when it is a question of keeping the war machine running smoothly...

WASHINGTON — Both houses of Congress are moving to guarantee greater access to contraceptives for women in the military, actions that lawmakers say are prompted in part by concern about unplanned pregnancies in the armed forces.

The annual defense policy bill, passed on Friday by the House, says military clinics and hospitals must be able to dispense any method of contraception approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Women have complained that they are sometimes unable to obtain contraceptives prescribed by their doctors, especially when they are deployed overseas.

The House bill also says women should, whenever possible, have access to “a sufficient supply” that will last for their entire deployment. Women who are overseas for long periods sometimes report that they have difficulty refilling prescriptions because military clinics run out of specific contraceptives and resupply shipments can be slow to arrive.

Judge’s Ruling Against 2 Banks Finds Misconduct in ’08 Crash

Many on Wall Street have long argued that the banks did not generally break the law when they packaged shoddy mortgages and sold them to investors in the lead-up to the financial crisis of 2008.

But on Monday, in the starkest of terms, a federal judge dealt a strong blow to that version of history. She ruled that two banks misled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in selling them mortgage bonds that contained numerous errors and misrepresentations.

“The magnitude of falsity, conservatively measured, is enormous,” Judge Denise L. Cote of Federal District Court in Manhattan wrote in a scathing 361-page decision.

UPDATE: Gov. Chris Christie Spent $300K On Food, Alcohol, NFL Concessions Using N.J. Taxpayer Money

Gov. Chris Christie has spent $360,000 from his state allowance during his five years in office -- more than 80 percent of which, or $300,000, was used to buy food, alcohol and desserts, according to a New Jersey Watchdog analysis of records released by the governor’s office.

Some of Christie’s most notable expenses happened during the 2010 and 2011 NFL football seasons at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, where the Giants and Jets play their home games. Christie used a debit card, on 58 occasions, to pay a total of $82,594 for concessions at MetLife, according to the report.

The governor’s office wouldn’t provide any receipts or records for the expenses to New
Jersey Watchdog, but defended the governor’s spending practices.

America's corporate criminals are the envy of the world...

Nowhere else in the world can criminals like Darryl Issa accumulate half a billion dollars and be elected to the top governing body of the nation. Criminals from countries around the globe are willing to put up huge amounts of ill-gotten gains to establish themselves in the U.S.A. where they can freely practice their religion of money worshipping. Freedom means being able to practice unfettered usury, corporate cronyism, and political corruption.

It does my ol' 60's heart good to see the young people protesting in Baltimore!

I was so discouraged over the years when the most enthusiastic demonstrations were at the Spring Break in Florida for the bikini contests. Finally young people are marching for social justice. Listen up Mrs.Clinton, this is the future--not your pals on Wall Street, not the TPP, not Goldman Sachs.
