Clint Eastwood Endorses Mike Bloomberg For President In WSJ Interview, Gives Props To #MeToo

Clint Eastwood Endorses Mike Bloomberg For President In WSJ Interview, Gives Props To #MeToo Movement

Clint Eastwood, who spoke at the 2012 Republican National Convention and endorsed Donald Trump in 2016, is apparently switching sides, endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg.

The 89-year-old actor/director was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal on a wide range of topics, but his most surprising was the political endorsement he handed out.

“The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there,” Eastwood said. He claimed to be a Libertarian who respected other ideas, but said he would like to see President Donald Trump act “in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names.”

I hope this isn't some wingnut site, but I found this quite odd and unexpected after his moronic "empty chair" routine at the '12 RNC.

NH primary has record turnout!

With 96% of precincts reporting, I just calculated NH total primary votes to be 293,550. This total will increase as the final votes trickle in.

This beats the previous record which was Obama vs. Hillary in 2008 with 288,672 votes cast.

2016 was 254,776.

Edit: note this is "record Democratic turnout" just to be clear.

Klobuchar surges in N.H., shaking up race

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Senator Amy Klobuchar has spent much of the 2020 primary race mentioned as an add on, one of those “also-running” candidates milling below the top tier.

Well, she sure isn’t milling in obscurity any more.

The latest Boston Globe/WBZ-TV/Suffolk University poll shows the Minnesota Democrat catapulting to third place, with 14 percent, ahead of former vice president Joe Biden, the once-presumptive front-runner for the nomination, and Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, who at one time topped the polls here. On Monday morning, Klobuchar announced that her campaign has raised more than $3 million in small online donations since Friday’s debate.
