"There Is A War On Women! And We Are Losing!"

This is a great blog about the current war on women - the author, Angie Brill, has a witty, irreverent, and unapologetic style.

Here's a strategy blog (part of a series) that I wrote for "Students for Sanders." Enjoy.

CNN seems so desperate to stop the Sanders surge.

A new CNN poll showed that Clinton gained some ground on Sanders, but the sample was a bit skewed. The issues with the sample are:

1) It's majority landline poll.
2) It's skewed toward people over 50.

If turnout under 30 exceeds expectations, this poll will be even less statistically cogent - a large chunk of millennials don't have landlines. And of course, the sample includes registered Democrats. Many Sanders supporters haven't yet switched party ID or have yet to register.

The sample can be viewed here:

Jeb Bush is a corrupt, crafty charlatan.

Jeb shady background is profiled in the following blog by Patrick Andendall:

"Barbara Bush really hoped this day would never come. Powerful forces are taking a big risk, but the potential returns are evidently worth it. By Jeb!!! running, we all get one last shot at finding out the secrets and lies—that are what make the Bush Dynasty.

Patrick Andendall (updated June 30, 2015)

How do the Bush kids get whatever their hearts desire? How does a disgraced Texas Guard alumnus with no piloting ability get to dress up and act out his Tom Cruise fantasy, having launched an illegal War—all so that he could play being commander in chief? How does W. get to hide his past mBush Family Dynasty isdeeds and his total lack of business acumen—his failure at everything he touches? How does Joe Jeb get to play “let’s be a businessman” or “I want to be governor”? How does Joe Jeb get to build a résumé out of thin air"

Why the GOP is ideologically no longer the Party of Lincoln

Often times, while I'm on social media I come across memes that mention something along the lines of "Republican Party votes for 13th Amendment in Senate chamber: 38. Democrats: 2. Now which party is the racist one?" But what these simpletons fail to realize is the ideological realignment of the parties and the fact that they're surely not static. The contemporary Democratic Party is more closely aligned with the early years of the Republican Party. Anyway, I thought that the followers of this thread would enjoy the following blog discussing on the Republican Party's historical realignment:

Sander's Republican Appeal

After having a few contentious discussions on social media regarding Sander's presidential bid, I noticed a very beneficial sentiment: he appeals to conservatives - even Tea Party conservatives. While I know anecdotal evidence isn't the best for cogent argumentation, it's amazing to see small government proponents who are attracted to his messaging. I suspect that his populist stances are largely responsible. I mean, in a way, Sanders advocates for small government as he opposes intrusive government surveillance; he's anti-corporate; and he condemns excessive military expenditures. That is what makes his candidacy so unique - it reminds of Obama's 08 campaign (more specifically, the purple state appeal), but only more grassroots. And he doesn't enjoy the corporate backing that Obama did.

By the way, people are so inspired by his campaign. Just check out these pieces on Sanders:

Moreover, his speech on the Iran deal was exceptional:

Here's an oldie on Bernie, but it's a goodie: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/21/magazine/21Sanders.t.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
