MountCleaners's JournalPresident Snowflake: Trump's personal fragility used to be just his problem
...Now it's Ours
by Jamil Smith
"Trumps personal insecurities are not a mere annoyance, nor are they just entertainment or a diversion for the media hordes. A new report on Trump's bad weekend underscored just how much trouble we're in. We know from the president's social media that he has problems with impulse control, but an unnamed person "who frequently talks to Trump" told Politico that it's so bad that his aides "have to control information that may infuriate him," like a parent might do for an excitable child. They can't control it all, of course, and its inevitable that his pathology will shape national policy."

Without evidence, Trump tells lawmakers 3-5 million illegal ballots cost him the popular vote
Source: Washington Post
Days after being sworn in, President Trump insisted to congressional leaders invited to a reception at the White House that he would have won the popular vote had it not been for millions of illegal votes, according to people familiar with the meeting.
Trump has repeatedly claimed, without evidence, that widespread voter fraud caused him to lose the popular vote to Hillary Clinton, even while he clinched the presidency with an electoral college victory.
Two people familiar with the meeting said Trump spent about 10 minutes at the top of the gathering with Republican and Democratic lawmakers rehashing the campaign. Trump also told them that between 3 million and 5 million illegal votes caused him to lose the popular vote.

Trump lies again! The needling about his popular vote loss must really be getting to him. It's not even one lie a day, it's several.
Donald Trump, nuclear weapons, and the ominous tick of the Doomsday Clock
"The eyebrow-raiser didnt come out of nowhere, following as it did directly on the heels of Vladimir Putins pledge to build a new Russian weapons systems. But it was a characteristically jumbled, counterintuitive thoughtnot what one hopes to see in terms of nuclear-weapons policy. (Trump reportedly double-downed on the build-up claim according to Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC. She claimed that he told her: "Let it be an arms race. We will outmatch them at every pass and outlast them all." It was of a pattern, too, part of a string of confoundingsometimes terrifyingly sostatements about nuclear capabilities. The Bulletin mustve thought: Since the Cold War, has the need for a reminder of the potential for atomic catastrophe ever seemed simultaneously so essential and so redundant? "

Re-introducing myself
I have actually been a DU-er on and off since 2002. However, I became sick and lost my job many years ago, and let my membership and participation lapse.
I have been a Democrat since I was a little kid, my entire extended family were Democrats and I wouldn't think of dishonoring that!
My main interest is in fighting Republicans and the right. I missed this place!
