President Donald Trump to publish weekly list of crimes committed by immigrants

The order reads:

To better inform the public regarding the public safety threats associated with sanctuary jurisdictions, the Secretary shall utilize the Declined Detainer Outcome Report or its equivalent and, on a weekly basis, make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens and any jurisdiction that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens.”

It does not specify that only crimes committed by illegal immigrants should be included - raising the prospect of offences committed by any immigrant being published even if the person is living in the US legally.

The decision to publish a list of immigrant crimes is reminiscent of the ‘Black crime’ listings on Breitbart News - the far-right website that until recently was run by Steve Bannon, who is now Mr Trump’s chief strategist.

Shooter sent Facebook message to Breitbarts Milo Yiannopoulos before gunfire at UW protest

"“Hey Milo,” the 29-year-old former UW student posted to Yiannopoulos’ Facebook page at 7:24 p.m. “im outside in line to your UW event.


“I got sucker punched (he was a bit limp wristed) and someone jacked my #MAGA hat,” he said, referring to the ubiquitous red and white “Make America Great Again” caps worn by supporters of President Trump.

“Anyway (sic) for me to get a replacement signed by you?” the man asked"

A new report on Trump's bad weekend underscored just how much trouble we're in. We know from the president's social media that he has problems with impulse control, but an unnamed person "who frequently talks to Trump" told Politico that it's so bad that his aides "have to control information that may infuriate him," like a parent might do for an excitable child. They can't control it all, of course, and it’s inevitable that his pathology will shape national policy."

Without evidence, Trump tells lawmakers 3-5 million illegal ballots cost him the popular vote

Days after being sworn in, President Trump insisted to congressional leaders invited to a reception at the White House that he would have won the popular vote had it not been for millions of illegal votes, according to people familiar with the meeting.

Trump has repeatedly claimed, without evidence, that widespread voter fraud caused him to lose the popular vote to Hillary Clinton, even while he clinched the presidency with an electoral college victory.

Two people familiar with the meeting said Trump spent about 10 minutes at the top of the gathering with Republican and Democratic lawmakers rehashing the campaign. Trump also told them that between 3 million and 5 million illegal votes caused him to lose the popular vote.
