Attention New Yorkers! Petitioning to get Bernie on the ballot in NY starts today!

-snip-
Petitioning to get Bernie on the ballot in NY starts today. It is very important that you sign the petitions, because we only have 5 weeks until the petitions are due on February 4. To get petitions, contact your CD (congressional district) coordinator - they will have petitions. You can find them here. If you do not know what congressional district you are in, you can look it up here. DO NOT turn your petitions into the Board of Elections - give them to your CD coordinator as soon as they are completed so that the campaign can review them. For more information on collecting signatures in NY to get Bernie on the ballot, see this document. Only registered Democrats can sign. (You can not sign your own petition, because you can not witness your own signature.)

The easiest way to sign a petition is to go to a petitioning event listed on the website. There are events in most parts of NY - you can find them by going to /u/rcas's amazing map here.

We need 500 signatures from each congressional district to get the full slate of Bernie delegates on the ballot, and we only have 5 weeks to do so. Please sign your district's petition so that we can get Bernie's delegates on the ballot in NY.

Bernie Sanders Women's Leaders Lunch Las Vegas FULL Speech

-snip-
Published on Dec 28, 2015

LAS VEGAS – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday welcomed a major endorsement from Erin Bilbray, Democratic National Committee superdelegate and a leading advocate for women in public service. "I have spent my entire career working to engage women in the political process," Bilbray said. "But at this point the biggest threat to American democracy is the dark money from super PACs that are controlling our elections. Government cannot focus on all of the important issues that affect America’s working families when a handful of super wealthy donors, in both parties, have the ability to predetermine who will win the election. Senator Bernie Sanders has denounced all super PACs and will continue to fight for the future of the middle class. As a mother of two young daughters, their future is my priority, which is why I am endorsing Bernie Sanders as the Democratic nominee for president of the United States."

Hillary Clinton tells Bernie Sanders backers: ‘When this nomination is wrapped up,’ join me

-snip-
On Tuesday in Iowa, Clinton did little to change the perception that she's running for president as if her primary is already over.

Asked by an audience member what she would say to disillusioned Sanders supporters, Clinton had a tough message.

"I think it's very dangerous to look at the alternatives and believe that your staying home is a responsible choice," Clinton said. "It's hard for me to believe that anybody who would support Senator Sanders would want to see any of the Republicans elected president of the United States.

"I would just ask that when this nomination is wrapped up that they come and join with us to make sure that we don't turn the White House back over to the Republicans," she added.

Ten Reasons That Will Convince You That Bernie Sanders Deserves Your Vote

-snip-
It’s time to celebrate a candidate who deserves the spotlight, more so than other candidates from either side of the left-right false divide.

Here are 10 reasons why Bernie Sanders deserves more coverage from the mainstream media and, ultimately, your vote:

1) He supports a new Glass Steagall act
2) He wants to break up the big banks;
3) Sanders opposed NAFTA and the TPP: two “trade” agreements,
4) For his entire political career Sanders has stood against the for-profit prison industrial complex and the practice of over-criminalization.
5) Sanders voted against the Iraq War, and is against a war with Russia.
6) Sanders voted twice against the Patriot Act,
7) Sanders doesn’t degrade racial and religious minorities, nor does he inflame the majority-
8) Sanders wants to decriminalize the use of marijuana.
9) Bernie refuses to take money from the super rich… or the corporations.
10) The corporate mainstream media hates Bernie and censors him, attempting to make it look like he endorses Hillary

Bernie Sanders to be endorsed by electrical workers' union

-snip-
Sen. Bernie Sanders is picking up another labor endorsement, this time from a union that represents about 1,600 in New Hampshire and Maine.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1837 plans to officially endorse the Democratic presidential candidate today.

“Bernie Sanders has a 35-year record standing shoulder to shoulder with workers and supporting the labor movement,” Local 1837 President Bill Tarallo said in a statement. “He has the best labor record of any presidential candidate in more than a generation.”

The IBEW Local 1837 represents workers at electric utilities and broadcasting stations.

Bernie Sanders - 25 Hottest Sex Symbols of 2015 | Rolling Stone

-snip-
Hip? Nope. Stylish? Not really. Overly concerned with either of those things? No way. And yet, despite all that – or perhaps because of it – America still swooned for Bernie Sanders in 2015. The lovable-yet-cantankerous political underdog has become a runaway sensation this election cycle, garnering support from musicians like David Crosby, Killer Mike and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and snapping at the heels of the establishment with a Larry David-ian determination. So what if he doesn't comb his hair? Thanks to his rumpled appeal and no-nonsense attitude, Sanders has rallied massive grassroots support and touched off a political revolution. And there's nothing sexier than telling the One Percent to shove it. RKC
