Bernie Sanders is big with the kids. And he needs them to vote. [Video]

-snip-
Bernie Sanders said Wednesday night that what Democrats "need in this campaign is energy. We need youth." And if he is to have any real chance of winning the Democratic nomination and the presidency, he's right -- especially on his second point.

Our December Washington Post/ABC National poll showed Sanders just barely edging out Hillary Clinton among Democratic-leaning registered voters under 40 years old, 45-44. But among older voters, Clinton trounced Sanders, carrying the 40-64 age bracket 66-19. Young voters are often easier to attract to rallies during the campaign than to the polls on Election Day; older people are much more reliable voters.

This Influential Senator Supports Bernie Sanders' Wall Street Reform Plan

-snip-
Senator Elizabeth Warren has not yet endorsed a presidential candidate, but she unleashed a series of tweets on Wednesday praising Senator Bernie Sanders for his stand on Wall Street reform.

The admiration is mutual: Sanders referred to Warren in a speech Tuesday that laid out the Democratic candidate’s plan to reform Wall Street. Sanders voiced his support for reinstating the Glass-Steagall Act, a legislation proposed by Warren that would create a firewall between commercial and investment banking. “Let’s be clear: This legislation, introduced by my colleague Sen. Elizabeth Warren, aims at the heart of the shadow banking system,” Sanders said in the speech delivered in New York City. “In my view, Sen. Warren, is right.”

In the speech, Sanders also promised to break up the biggest “commercial banks, shadow banks, and insurance companies whose failure would pose a catastrophic risk to the United States economy without a taxpayer bailout.” Warren echoed Sanders’ concern over the continued prominence of financial institutions whose failure could spark another financial disaster.

NY state senator Bill Perkins of 30th district endorses Bernie

-snip-
I am proud to support and officially endorse Senator Bernie Sanders for President.

He is the only candidate in the race that is speaking openly and honestly about issues of paramount importance to our communities, including: income inequality, providing a living wage, addressing climate change, enacting true, universal healthcare for all, demanding fundamental criminal justice system reform, overhauling and reigning in Wall Street and providing higher education as a public resource for all.

The fact of the matter is that Bernie Sanders is right on all of the issues that we care about. He is the only individual running for President that has the vision to lead our country forward in a transformative, thoughtful and empowering way.
