And that's a good thing. Wanted to try to get in touch with Hartmann to ask him about Bernie's staff since he knows best.
But it is refreshing to see Bernie say he is in this to win it. That is encouraging to me. Thanks for posting this Attorney. This story reinforces what many of us have said from the beginning: people are not interested in Hillary because she offers nothing. Bernie excites people and will significantly motivate the dem. base.
If this hold true that voters really do not like Hillary, many of them-including "R's"-will support Bernie. Many "R's" already are. Also nice to see Wa-Po do a story on Bernie.
As one poster here clearly states, "I will not vote the lesser of 2 corporate evils." Amen to that.
Another reason to support Bernie
His intention to fix the horrible voting system all across the country. Everybody votes and an end to discrimination in voting. End of discussion. When you turn 18, bingo. You can vote. Automatically.
None of us are voting for Bernie not because he talks about "socialistic" ideas...
We're voting for Bernie based on his vision for the "next generation". And whats important to the next generation?
Well first there's the environment and climate change.
Then there's the necessity to create millions of manufacturing jobs here--in this country.
And we can't forget the need to improve the educational opportunities for those who haven't had that chance.
But wait! There's more!
This is not a gunfight
It is more a war of words than anything else. And the Hillary supporters are throwing any emotional, non-sequitur they can find.
Many of us supporting Bernie think of him in this manner:
She won't stand up for anybody. That's why I'm not voting for her.
Let me just make this point.
Mark mentioned that Bernie is going to need to expand/maintain boots on the ground in Iowa and New Hampshire. I'm not sure what he means by that. I'm sure many people are working their tails off to contact voters in both states.
However, let me remind you that he had boots on the ground before he made the announcement he was running.
And you may ask, how were there boots on the ground before he announced?
Hint: Another candidate we were hoping would run. If you guessed Senator Warren, you are correct. The people from "Run Warren Run" were already in Iowa and NH. All those people had to do was simply shift gears. I think Bernie was very lucky to have this infrastructure in place before the announcement.
That is what you call one hell of a head start.

"How Reaganomics killed the middle Class" This is also an interview with noted economics Professor Richard Wolf. I don't know why no one mentioned Dwight Eisenhower. I thought he pushed/supported "social" programs for the middle class too. At least I seem to remember something like from my education in history.
How tragic it is that this country bought a box of rocks when they put an actor in the White House. Horribly depressing.

As a former reporter, I have a better understanding of polls and how they function. So stuff coming from Hillery's plastic campaign, I let it go in one ear and out the other. I also shake my head as to how people can vote against their own self interest.
After seeing Bernie all these years and announcing he was going for it, I knew right then I am going to back him. I wanted Senator Warren initially-like many others. But Bernie's campaign is growing on a daily basis. And that's a good thing.
Like many other DU'ers in this group, I also saw this (as a progressive) as our time--our time to truly take back our country from the corporate everything crowd.
So again, thanks Robbins. Your words are needed as a constant reminder for all of us.

...are Bernie's issues.

Nina is awsome. I love her because she is a fighter--just as Bernie is. Only difference is, Bernie has been at it longer.
I would much rather be in the pockets of labor unions than Wall Street anytime.
Unions have a better effect on peoples lives than a corrupt and criminal financial institution. And I would be proud to brag about it too.
Bernie Interviewed on Yahoo by Katie Couric On Foreign Policy, Paris
I saw the first interview Katie did with Bernie several weeks ago, and in my mind, seemed interested in Bernie's position on most domestic issues. This time, she comes across much more aggressive and pushy on questions pertaining to terrorism and what happened in Paris. One of her questions was, (paraphrasing) "many of your critics claim you lack knowledge in foreign policy issues." She could have phrased that question differently IMO. It came across as insulting. At least it seemed that way to me.
But Bernie handled the interview well despite Katie's attempt to create controversy.
