Docreed2003
Docreed2003's JournalOur house tonight....
The wife and I started the night with "Kind of Blue" on vinyl...since then we have listened to The Band "The Weight", Jason Isbell, Townes Van Zandt, "Le Vie en Rose" by Louis Armstrong, Sturgill Simpson, Ryan Adams, Thelonious Monk, and now "I'llbe seeing you" by Billie Holliday...dancing, crying, hugging...it's been a night to celebrate our love for sure!
Love nights with just the two of us!
Hope you'll welcome me here!
I actually opened up to my wife last night and told her that I am an atheist.
Damn...that felt good. Plus, she didn't judge me at all. She knew...in fact, she had known the moment I came back from Afghanistan nearly seven years ago. All she said was, "well thank God", lol "You're finally admitting it"
Ugh...feels good to be out of the closet, so to speak!
"Catch and release"
This is the same kind of bullshit ad Black ran on in 2016 when she was running for re-election. At that time, it was filmed in front of a ranch home and she talked about being able to change oil like she was "a regular person"...flash forward to this racist shit and she's "fishing on Old Hickory Lake"....where's your megamansion Dianne? Would love to know where that idyllic fishing local is!?
Black is blatantly subscribing to Trumpismn....we are so much better than that here in Tennessee!
Nashville's version of "comic-con", Heroes and Villans is this weekend
Wish us luck....my 8 year old son has two goals: one, to meet Yondu...Michael Rooker, and have him sign his unopened Yondu figure; and Two, to meet his Dr Who, non-Dr hero, Capt Jack!!
I've heard John Barrowman is great with kids and so I really hope that we can meet him...plus I think my wife and I both want a pic with him (I promised my wife to resist kissing him, lol. Although a trio pic of the two of us kissing him might be epic).
My wife is hoping we have time that she can meet "Green Arrow"...
If dreams come true, I'll post pics after this weekend. Lol...love you folks in the Lounge and just thought I'd share our family excitement.
Just a geek/nerd update from this geeky/nerdy fam
We clearly need to hear this again...
This message was poignant and controversial in its time, but it's no less powerful now. We have to shut out the nonsense and stay focused...(this is dedicated to so many of you guys here that inspire me so much....)
