Photographer's JournalSeveral years ago I was suicidal and called family. They called local PD to help.
They burst into my home, handcuffed me as I sat on my couch saying I really didn't mean it then drug me out of the house by the handcuffs tearing my rotator cuff and threw me in jail.
This is both the highlights of our Police and Mental Health organizations in America today.
I will never call the police for anything ever again as they seem to be not only ineffectual but contrary to one's well being.
There is no safety net in America today.
No one wants guns to be illegal but you can bet your sweet ass that many are working on cell phone
videos to become rare.
That is all.
Simon Pegg ‘Respectfully Disagrees’ With George Takei Over Sulu’s Sexuality With a great Takai video
(Note: A very pro Takei take in the article)
The "Star Trek Beyond" writer responded to Takei's criticism over the decision to make his former character gay
On Thursday, the Herald Sun announced that the character Hikaru Sulu will be revealed to be gay in Star Trek Beyond, which hits theaters July 22. It was welcome news for many who have criticized the otherwise progressive franchises lack of LGBT representation since the initial show went on the air in 1966.
But one person disappointed with the news is the person it was perhaps most aimed to please, or at least to honor. George Takei, who played Sulu in the original show and who has been a prominent LGBT activist since coming out as gay just over a decade ago, told the Hollywood Reporter that he has been against revealing the character as gay since he first heard it was under consideration last year.
Im delighted that theres a gay character, Takei told THR. Unfortunately, its a twisting of Genes creation, to which he put in so much thought. I think its really unfortunate. Takei is referring here to Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek, whom he says was painstakingly thorough in his character development, which included a vision for Sulu as heterosexual.
Takei has been a proponent of LGBT representation in the franchise from early on, when, though he was still in the closet himself, he discussed the idea with Roddenberry. The latter, who had seen the show take a ratings hit after a 1968 episode featuring an interracial kiss, feared that too much boundary-breaking too soon might spell the end of the show.

It pains me to say this, but what the hell did they expect?
So many killings with no one held accountable and later justified for wanton killings/executions....
The pressure has been building for years now and it's time to address the reasons behind the anger that took lives in Dallas last night.
I don't care who you want for the D president.
Just that you vote D. I am A Bernie supporter but most assuredly vote for Hillary if the question ends up her or Trump.
While Hil's not my first choice, I was a big fan of the "Big Dawg" and admired her early fight for health care. Yes, she's more conservative than Bernie, but she's not the complete idiot that Trump is and I feel that she might even do good for the country.
So please. people. get over it no matter which way things fall. Support the only viable candidate against Trump whomever it may be because the alternative is too evil to watch.
As a redneck , I endorse this opinion.
Sorry for placing a video here in GD but was so damned good.
Donald Trump shot a black LGBT in 1982 with no regard to the others at Mardi Gras
Called a google bomb but wouldn't be surprised. I feel completely justified in this regarding his own penchant for outright lies and terrible accusations.
I am astounded as to why so many in the MSM have decided to ignore his bullshit.

17 times Donald Trump said one thing and then denied it
Donald Trump is infamous for boasting about himself and that does not exclude his claim to have an incredible memory.
Donald Trump once claimed to have "the worlds greatest memory," but he seems to suffer bouts of amnesia when it comes to his own statements.
"I never said ____" followed by a charge of media dishonesty is a favorite refrain of the presumptive Republican nominees, and its something that hes been doing for years.
For example, in 2014, as he was fighting to prevent wind turbines from being installed near his golf course in Scotland and ruining his views, Trump told a Twitter user he "never said" that "wind farms are a disaster for Scotland." Yet hes quoted in the Irish Times saying that verbatim.
And just before he jumped into the presidential race, Trump reignited his spat with Jon Stewart, calling the comedian "a wiseguy with no talent" and denying that he ever attacked Stewart for not using his real last name, Leibowitz. But Trump did go after Stewarts use of a stage name in a series of tweets that many took to be anti-Semitic.
Trumps forgetfulness during the 2016 cycle has been noted by many, like New Yorker TV critic Emily Nussbaum:

In one of the reddest of reddest states I got in a conversation with a conservative in a bar today.
and think I may have made headway on a few things. He seemed to think when I suggested that crazies and terrorists shouldn't have access to guns and there might be a way to help those ideas along with things like liability and checking the fucking no fly list...
Plus, I seemed to convince him that all liberals weren't out to take everything he owned and sacrifice it to Bal in a bonfire over the remains of his mother.
After so many "punch the protestors" and wishing physical violence...
Is Trump instigating the violence as just seen in Louisiana?
Do his fans see his rhetoric of violence against minorities as a license to behave badly because they believe a majority of Americans feel the same way?
This motherfucker is becoming more dangerous by the day. George Wallace tried the same shit and it didn't work out all that well for him. He was never elected.
