In any case, they often impersonate him with a sticky-sweet "Gone With the Wind" accent with flourishes and interjections that make it sound like it's fresh off the plantation and right off the movie-screen.

There's something satisfying about having an authoritative and recognized precise moment of victory… especially when millions are eager to celebrate their joy and relief with each other.

I suppose that for some emotionaless "analytical types" they can be perfectly happy with "knowing what will eventually happen" and take comfort with the knowledge of how everything will assuredly play out in the end.

But others of us will get a great deal of satisfaction and delight from being able to hear our party's nominee CLAIM VICTORY for himself, and for OUR party, and for our nation and the world.

It will be a defining STARTING POINT where we can begin celebrating with others. It will be a moment to look back on and talk about. It's like the moment between midnight and the new year! (Compared to a group of disinterested people coming to the eventual conclusion over the course of a week that the new year had indeed happened a week previously.)

People who encourage such things are trying to dilute the Democratic Party, and in states where such things are taken into account, this could also affect how districts are redrawn which would ALSO dilute or weaken the influence of the Democratic party.

All I'm saying is that ANYTHING that serves to weaken or divide or dilute the strength the DEMOCRATIC PARTY is something that ONLY BENEFITS the Republicans and Russia.

When it comes to national elections, we are a two party system. Until that changes, anything that anyone does to undermine the Democrats only serves to help the Republicans.

Like a monster in its death throes... the synapses are firing, the body is flailing without a conscious purpose... the cortex is limited to its basic subconscious and instinctive will to survive and escape danger. The monster struggles violently and in great pain... but it doesn't realize that it's already dead. The fight is over --- except for watching it twist, contort and writhe in physical and emotional agony.

That's been going on in all corners of the Internet. Many FUD spreaders.

Many hand-wringers. Many "predicting" (promoting?) their doomsday scenarios. Many expressing regret, doubts, fears... and I have to tell you, those types of posts go far beyond the mere act of "seeking comfort" among like-minded individuals. They, instead, are doing little more than fear-mongering and trying to DE-motivate people. I even see it here from time to time.

All I'm trying to say is that we should be on the lookout for it. Call it out when you see it. Don't let it get to you and pour cold water on it so that their toxic way of thinking doesn't spread to others.

It serves NO useful purpose at all. It's just another example of how people are oddly willing to do and say things that create an atmosphere of fear and hopelessness and negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

Lindsey's delicate and soft-spoken Southern Gentleman mannerisms won't help him now.
