Will there be a consensus candidate to battle B&B?

With Biden getting in, I see him and Bernie as the two beasts from the East that are going to be very hard to take down by the 18 others.
With the most name recognition, possibly most money, infrastructure, high level endorsements, etc., it’s hard not to imagine them coming out after Super Tuesday March 3 as basically the only two left standing.

With the obligatory codicil of “its still way too early”, I’m wondering if there might be quite a few candidates that don’t catch on (under 3% in reputable polls) that will drop out fairly early in the process and try to coalesce behind one person to take on Bernie and Biden.

I think that would probably be a woman.
Either Harris or Warren.
New Hampshire is REALLY important to Warren.
S.Carolina is REALLY important to Harris.
They both need to finish at least third in those states.

Who do you think might be a consensus candidate that could go toe to toe with B&B?

*For those backing Bernie or Biden, please don’t take this as my being anti either one. I am not. This thread is just about the horse race and some early speculation on how things might shake out.

The argument is aimed at 15% of the voting age population.

Mueller report, hearings, impeachment, etc. is and or would be aimed about 15% of the people who are not definitely in one camp or another.

I believe that 30% of Americans absolutely love Trump and nothing can change that.
I believe that 50% of Americans absolutely hate Trump and nothing can change that.
I believe that 5% of Americans could care less either way and nothing can change that.
Then, I believe there is the 15% that is persuadable one way or the other.

The question for Dems in leadership is how important that 15% really is.
Is it worth chasing them to force his resignation or enuf GOP Senators to impeach.
Or should we find other ways to reach enuf to guarantee a Dem landslide in 2020 including flipping the Senate.

What's different from accepting vs asking for Russian help?

Is Mueller saying there is no conspiracy because there is no direct link of a quid pro quo?
That there was no offer and acceptance of something of value to form a contract ?

How about a Pros&Cons list on Impeachment.

So it appears that will be the national topic for a while.
To Im 🍑 or not .

Thought a master list of the pros and cons might be interesting.

Pros
It’s merited - Mueller showed ample Obstruction.
Preserves the Rule of Law
Warns future Presidents
Shows Dems have integrity and believe in the truth
Takes some heat off of Dems running for President (not constantly asked about it).

Cons
MSM will scream overreach by Dems
Reachable Independents aren’t on board (yet)
Some believe Congressional Hearings are sufficient for now
Gives Trump his number one talking point and fund raising subject
Doing GOP dirty work who can keep clean hands with no vote in Senate

There are lots more that I’m sure you can list.
I just wanted to get the conversation started by naming five each.

Not addressed: Why Trump is so deferential to Russia/Putin.

I was hoping the Mueller report would delve into this.
I want to see all of the real and speculative financial ties to Russia.
Will Congress or SDNY investigate that?

Only three American Presidents have worn glasses.

Truman, T Roosevelt, W Wilson
Sanders or Warren would be the fourth.
(I’m not talking about reading glasses).

Who wants to play mix and match.

Just for giggles, I thought it would be fun to take some of our candidates and match them with somebody that would make for a great ticket.
Here’s a few I came up with.
You will note that all my choices have 1male/1female. I feel that’s important this year.

Bernie/Warren
Biden/Harris
Harris/Buttigieg
Buttigieg/Abrams
Warren/Beto
Beto/Klobuchar
Klobuchar/Castro

Who suggested Paul Manafort be Trumps campaign manager?

I always thought that Manafort was a plant as a go between for the campaign to Russia.
Remember when he made the Ukrainian change to the platform.
Why was this not pursued by Mueller?

I know it's WAY too soon - but let's play a game.

It’s now February 2020.
Tell me who you think finishes 1, 2, 3 in the first four caucuses/primaries.

Here’s my guesses:
Iowa
Bernie
Biden
Buttigieg

NH
Biden
Bernie
Warren

SC
Harris
Biden
Booker

Nev
Bernie
Harris
Biden

Your turn. 🤝👁🤘🏾

Is anybody adventurous enuf to see how Fox is spinning?

I don’t have the stomach to do it myself but I am curious if they are all saying what Trump wants them to say about the Mueller release.
