My Area Is Feelin The Bern

I've been seeing Bernie yard signs and other swag EVERYWHERE! And the best part is he's the only candidate I've seen gear for other than a few bumper stickers for Hillary!

Here they are:

The "Big Little Town" of Narberth is Feeling the Bern!

The sign in the photo above was stolen and replaced with this one

Bumper Sticker with the same owner

There was another car with a Bernie sticker but couldn't post it because of the license plate.

Wynnewood, PA:

They also had a "We want BERNIE" placard in their window but I don't have a photo.

66 Cities Are Planning On Designing Their Futures Based On Climate Change

The C40 Group just released a report called "Climate Action in Megacities 3.0". The organization is now about a decade old and is now functioning in about 80 cities internationally. The report said that 66 of these cities found that if their goals for the future are based on climate change then 170 coal-fired power plants world wide will be cut

From The Daily Kos:

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a UN Special Envoy for Cities and Climate Change, said the group has been critical in catalyzing local action. “It really has changed the dialogue,” Bloomberg said on a call with reporters Monday. Through the C40 framework, cities share best practices and experiences, which can sometimes help foster a productive comp(etition, he said. “If [Parisian] Mayor [Anne] Hidalgo knows Rio is doing something great that Paris isn’t doing, she’s going to copy it.”According to the report, 30 percent of the climate actions cities have taken since 2009, following the COP15 in Copenhagen, have been the result of city-to-city collaboration. Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes echoed Bloomberg’s comments in his introduction to the report. “The report provides compelling evidence for why city governments have demonstrated an ability to get to grips with climate change where others have failed, namely: the ability of mayors to collaborate across geographic, political and economic boundaries,” Paes writes.

What exactly have these cities done to combat global warming?

-228 International Cities (436,000,000 people) have set a greenhouse gas reduction goal of about 13 Billion Tons Of C02 by 2050

-Most Goals Don't Stretch Beyond 2020

Changing infrastructure is also a key element in what needs to be done to reach these goals. Last October, C40 published "Keeping Cities Green: Avoiding Carbon Lock-in Due To Urban Development". If this is done it could take a big slice from "The Carbon Budget" (the amount of emissions we can allow from the amount of fuel we burn)

The Stockholm paper explored two possible scenarios taking us to 2030. The smart one found that an “aggressive ‘urban action’ scenario” employing the most energy-efficient policies in transportation and urban design would mean keeping about 45 billion tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere in the next 15 years.

We only have one generation to make the moves that could create a better future for hundreds of future generations.

Awesome Intro For Bernie By Killer Mike In Atlanta

Bernie Introduces Comprehensive Immigration Plan!

Game Of Thrones Author Owns Repugs On Syrian Refugees

'Game of Thrones' author slams Donald Trump as 'wrong, wrong, wrong'

George R.R. Martin has weighed in on the debate over Syrian refugees.

The Game of Thrones author doesn’t want to keep people who are fleeing the worn-torn country out of the U.S. any more than Jon Snow wants to keep Wildlings fleeing White Walkers from coming south of The Wall.

Martin posted the Emma Lazarus poem “The New Colossus,” which is afixed to the base of the Statue of Liberty.

“The words on her base represent the best of what this nation of immigrants is all about,” Martin wrote on his blog. “One has to wonder if all the governors (including our own governor here in New Mexico, I am ashamed to say) and congressmen voting to keep out the Syrian refugees have ever visited the Statue, or read the words on her base. If so, they surely failed to understand them. Emma Lazarus had it right. Donald Trump and thirty-one governors have it wrong, wrong, wrong. The Syrian refugees are as much victims of ISIS as the dead in France. Let them in.”

Martin also labeled the post with his “current mood,” which is “angry.”

In the wake of the devastating Paris terror attacks on Nov. 13, 27 Republican governors have written to President Barack Obama asking him to “suspend all plans to resettle additional Syrian refugees.”

HBO’s Game of Thrones is coming off winning the Emmy for best drama series for its fifth season this year and will return next spring.

Man Jumps White House Fence Prompting Thanksgiving Lockdown!

Source Yahoo.com

A man draped in an American flag jumped the fence at the White House on Thursday, prompting a lockdown as the first family celebrated Thanksgiving.

The man was immediately apprehended and taken into custody pending criminal charges, the Secret Service said in a statement. The incident took place about 2:45 p.m. EST.

An image of a man atop a section of fence in front of the North Lawn was posted on the website of television station WJLA. Another image showed the man standing on the lawn with his arms raised in victory.

A witness to the incident, Victoria Pena of Texas, said the man was standing with other people visiting the White House compound when he rushed toward the fence carrying what appeared to be a binder.

"I just heard him take a big, deep breath and whisper to himself, 'All right, let's do this' and he took off," Pena said. "It was chaotic. Everyone around us was yelling and kids were crying. It was pretty unexpected."

Security personnel and guard dogs ran toward the man and he lay on the grass awaiting them, Pena said.

The north and south fence lines at the White House were temporarily closed, Secret Service spokesman Robert Hoback said. In the hours after the incident, numerous armed security personnel were seen along the streets and sidewalks outside the executive mansion.

President Barack Obama and his wife and daughters were spending the holiday at the White House.
