i'm not a bigot. i've studied world religions. Does anyone want to answer the following questions?

No one has every bothered to answer these questions, but they are quick to call me or anyone else all sorts of names when we are outraged by Islamic terrorism.

1. can a muslim convert freely to another religion and not be sentenced to death or be ostrasized?
2. how does islam view other religions?
3. Do they support the parts of sharia law that demand appendages be cut off for thieves?
4. Do they believe that someone who slaughters innocent people will go to heaven?
5. can a muslim marry a nonmuslim without forcing the other to convert?
6. will a muslim show respect for other religions by wishing others a Merry Christmas or happy Diwali?

funny that when stores like this are reported on the TImes of India site i get comments that

it is a questionable source.

well here it is on BBC. So the Times of India reports real news.

Suspected Islamists kill Sufi leader in Bangladesh

Source: Times of India

DHAKA: A local Sufi leader has been found hacked to death in Bangladesh in a suspected Islamist killing, police said on Saturday, two weeks after the Islamic State group claimed the murder of a liberal professor in the same northwestern district.

Mohammad Shahidullah, 65, went missing after leaving home on Friday morning, until villagers last night found his body in a pool of blood in a mango grove in Rajshahi. "He was not a famous Sufi. But there could be a possibility that he was killed by Islamist militants," Rajshahi district police chief Nisharul Arif told AFP.

The police officer said the killing of the self-proclaimed Sufi master was "similar" to a recent spate of hacking murders of religious minorities in the country. "He was slaughtered from his neck and there are also some deep gashes in his throat," Abdur Razzak, a local police official said, adding that "he had scores of followers in a nearby district". Sufi Islam is a mystical form of Islam popular in rural Bangladesh but considered deviant by many of the country's majority Sunni Muslims.

UK mosques ask women to shun Facebook, trousers: Report

Source: Times of India

ONDON: Many mosques in the UK propagate extremely strict rules of conduct for women, asking them to delete their Facebook accounts, not to leave their houses without their husbands' permission, and to avoid wearing trousers, a research report released on Friday said.

The research conducted by 'The Times' showed rulings published by mosques and Islamic associations around Britain. Under a section titled 'Islamic articles', the Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre in London published a document - 'Advice for the husband and wife'. Written by a mufti at the mosque, it says, "A woman should seek her husband's permission when leaving the house and should not do so without his knowledge".

The Central Masjid of Blackburn in northwest England has published a web post called 'Dangers of Facebook'. It cites a quotation from the Quran about the sin of alcohol, and applies it to the social network. "Facebook has opened the doors for sin. Muslim girls and women alike have become prey to this evil," it says. It describes the social media website as a "vicious network". The Green Lane Masjid in Birmingham tells one woman worshipper that wearing trousers is not permitted even in front of her husband. Trousers show off "the details of her body. The ones who wear trousers are men, and the Prophet cursed women who imitate men," a post by the mosque quoting an Islamic scholar reads.

Pakistan teen poisoned, choked and burned alive in 'honor killing'

Source: CNN

Islamabad (CNN) — More than a dozen people have been arrested after a teenage girl was choked, injected with poison, tied to a van and then burned to death.

Police in Abbottabad in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province said the death was a so-called honor killing ordered by a tribal council after the girl, 16-year-old Ambreen, allegedly helped a neighbor and her boyfriend elope.

"The order came after Ambreen's neighbor, Saima, had eloped with her boyfriend on the 22nd of April," police officer Khurram Rasheed said.

Rasheed said the girl's killing was ordered after a 15 member tribal council, or Jirga, gathered to investigate the elopement.

Scientology’s attempt to silence dad of ‘ruthless’ David Miscavige has only made his new book more p

Source: National Post

For an organization that so doggedly defends its reputation, Humfrey Hunter says, the Church of Scientology seems to have made a mistake.

Hunter was preparing to publish a book about the church – an expose written by the father of its leader – when, last week, he received a legal letter from the California-based group, threatening to sue if he released the work as planned this Tuesday. Yet, the church’s attempt to silence Hunter has backfired spectacularly, he says.

“My phone has been ringing off the hook,” said the former literary agent, who runs a one-man publishing house in London. “People can’t wait to see what has got the church so angry.”

The book is written by Ron Miscavige, 80, the father of Scientology leader David. Entitled Ruthless: Scientology, my son David Miscavige, and me, it promises to lift the lid on the inner workings of a religion to which he introduced his son. The son rose to the very top, while Miscavige became disillusioned, and left in 2012.

Bombs rock Baghdad, Shia pilgrims among 14 killed

Source: Times of India

AGHDAD: Three bombs went off in and around Baghdad on Monday, killing at least 14 people, including Shia Muslim worshippers conducting an annual pilgrimage inside the capital, police and medical sources said.

The largest blast, which Islamic State said it was behind, came from a parked car bomb in the Saydiya district of southern Baghdad that killed 11 and wounded 30, the sources said.

At least a few of the casualties were pilgrims passing through the area on their way to the shrine of Imam Moussa al-Kadhim, a great-grandson of Prophet Muhammad who died in the 8th century.

ISIS sex slave kidnapped by 'new Jihadi John' suspect Siddhartha Dhar

Source: Times of India

LONDON: Indian-origin Islamic State terrorist from Britain Siddhartha Dhar, dubbed as the "New Jihadi John", is a senior commander of the dreaded outfit, according to a media report.

Nihad Barakat, a Yazidi teenager held as a sex slave by the group, was quoted as saying by the Independent that she was kidnapped and trafficked by Siddhartha, who is now based in Mosul, the group's Iraqi stronghold.

Siddhartha, a British Hindu who converted to Islam and now goes by the name Abu Rumaysah, had skipped police bail in the UK to travel to Syria with his wife and young children in 2014.

In an interview for a new documentary series for UK-based British Muslim TV about life on the frontline in Iraq, Barakat said Siddhartha was among the foreign fighters who enslaved her.

"When I was captured near Kirkuk, they took me to another leader from Mosul. His name was Abu Dhar. He also took Yazidi girls for himself. Every day he would tell me that I had to marry another man," she said.

'Kill them wherever they are': ISIS hackers publish 'hit list' of 70 US military personnel

Source: Times of India

LONDON: Islamic State (ISIS) hackers have published a "hit list" of over 70 US military personnel who have been involved in drone strikes against terror targets in Syria and asked their followers to "kill them wherever they are".

According to 'The Sunday Times', the hackers have links with Britain and call themselves 'Islamic State Hacking Division' and circulated online the names, home addresses and photographs of more than 70 US staff, including women and urged supporters: "Kill them wherever they are, knock on their doors and behead them, stab them, shoot them in the face or bomb them."

The group also claimed that it might have a mole in the UK's ministry of defence and threatened to publish "secret intelligence" in the future that could identify Britain's Royal Air Force (RAF) drone operators.

Let's get this straight about Trump

He has been a master at outsourcing manufacturing in his own companies, been bankrupted many times, been a billionaire during the time that wages have gone down across the country (are his employees all paid decent salaries), doesn't have any experience in foreign affairs during a dangerous global time AND there are a sizeable number of people supporting him? Most of the people are working poor and the exact demographic that drumpf has NEVER helped before.

And at least one of his son's revels in killing exotic, endangered animals like Leopards in Africa. I stopped watching apprentice when that photo of his ugly disgusting face with the leopard he slaughtered made the rounds.

The electorate is stupid indeed.
