2 reminders: COATTAILS and ORIGINAL nytimes article PRO BERNIE and GREED IS GOOD INVESTOR PRO B

INVESTOR WHO WAS MODEL FOR GORDEN GEKKO: http://www.addictinginfo.org/2016/03/14/why-a-wall-street-investor-endorsed-senator-bernie-sanders/

ORIGINAL NY TIMES ARTICLE COMPLIMENTARY TO BERNIE: https://web.archive.org/web/20160314164825/http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/15/us/politics/bernie-sanders-amendments.html?partner=rss&emc=rss

Bernie never promised anything. He only promises that his efforts will be maximized to make change for the common people. He expects a high turnout to bring democrats into Congress. He can make appointsments based on smart, honest people instead of big money corporate shills. He can use executive actions to make changes. The thing is his change - his mission - is a progressive one.

Anything you say about Bernie will be equally true of Hillary. So whose values do you prefer? Bernie's or Hillary's? Peace or war? Change for the people or status quo for the moneyed? Re-regulation or continue deregulation? Independence from big money or dependence on big money?

OMG, people get a clue. Quit thinking about emotions and loyalties and look at issues. Which of these people support and act up values that you agree with. Who is the more honest? the more independent? the less rehearsed and whose message has been consistent throughout? Bill - impeding traffic at voting stations and bellowing for Hillary. Deregulation Bill. Hillary, the goldwater girl who pushed Bill to the right so that he could finally win in Arkansas.

I don't hate Hillary. If her values were my values, I 'd vote for her. But they are not. Let's go with the status quo. I guess in the end that's what the people prefer. Okay.

Bernie handling Maddow!

They all think they are smarter than he is. Esp. Toad. But he handles them and answers their skewed questions in a way that gets his message out instead of their bias. I love it. He's the smartest guy in Congress.

Kasich taking voters from Bernie?

Anybody else think Kasich turned the election by syphoning Bernie voters? I wonder what his ads said in Ohio? Trump is up now and may win. So if Kasich did that, he gave the state to Trump and Clinton. What a travesty. What an ego.

How do people get into debate halls?

I was watching CNN debate and heard Hillary say that the mothers of the black victims of police and guns were with her. So, who does get into these debate halls? I can't help but think questioning is often soft-balled to Hillary and sometimes these halls seem packed for Hillary. Since I'm a Bernie fan, guess I'm wondering what others think?

The Real Gordon Gekko Just Endorsed Bernie Sanders

I hope this isn't a duplicate.

Asked to elaborate, Edelman stated his case.

“Well, I think it’s quite simple," he began. "If you look at something called ‘velocity of money’—you guys know what that is, I presume—that means how much gets spent and turns around. When you have the top one percent getting money, they spend five, 10 percent of what they earn. When you have the lower end of the economy getting money, they spend 100, or 110 percent of what they earn. As you’ve had a transfer of wealth to the top, and a transfer of income to the top, you have a shrinking consumer base, basically, and you have a shrinking velocity of money. Bernie is the only person out there who I think is talking at all about both fiscal stimulation and banking rules that will get the banks to begin to generate lending again as opposed to speculation. So from an economic point of view, it’s straightforward.”

Kasich just now: "I beat Clinton by eleven points"

Not much I guess but I believe Kasich could be the nominee and would be a threat to Hillary. Cross-over votes from centrist dems.

Hillary Clinton Ad in Michigan Derides Companies Moving Overseas - WEASELING

HARTMANN TODAY CHASTISED THE SANDERS CAMPAIGN FOR NOT BEING PREPARED FOR HILLARY'S WEASELING AND NOT HAVING ANSWERS. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE: (I don't know how to link the actual ad which is in the NY Times story)

The Ad Campaign: Bam | Hillary Clinton Video by Hillary Clinton

Appealing to voters in Michigan, Hillary Clinton released “Bam,” an ad attacking American companies that move their headquarters to foreign countries to reap enormous tax savings.
On Screen

Driver’s-eye footage shows abandoned warehouses as a guitar provides a bluesy backdrop for a gritty-voiced male narrator. “O.K., you know the deal,” he says. “Factory turns out the lights, ships the jobs overseas.

“Betcha didn’t know these companies, though,” he continues, as clips show buildings with the logos of Tyco, Weatherford International, Medtronic, McDermott International and C&J Energy Services, which variously changed their addresses to Ireland, Panama or Bermuda in maneuvers known as corporate inversions.

“Nice,” the narrator adds sneeringly. “Then — Bam! — big tax breaks. C.E.O. gets a bonus; workers and Uncle Sam get squat.” A cartoon shows an executive flipping through a stack of cash and stuffing it into a bag, workers walk out of a factory and Uncle Sam points his finger at the camera.

Mrs. Clinton is then shown shaking hands in a produce warehouse, speaking in front of a tractor and high-fiving on the rope line. “Hillary says, you walk out on America, you pay an exit tax,” the narrator says. “And if you got tax dollars or a tax deal, you’ve got to give the money back.” At that, our cartoon executive sees a giant vacuum suck his cash right up out of the bag.
The Message

As the ad says, “She’s with us.”

Fact Check

McDermott International completed one of the first corporate inversions, in 1982. Though the ad mentions Tyco’s 1997 inversion, it does not mention Tyco’s more recent union with Johnson Controls, which is benefiting from Tyco’s Irish address. As Mrs. Clinton’s critics have noted, the Tyco-Johnson Controls deal was negotiated in part by the firm of one of her campaign’s financial bundlers, and Johnson Controls has donated heavily to the Clinton Global Initiative.

On broadcast and cable stations in Michigan.

Takeaway
None of the companies mentioned was based in Michigan, but the state has been hammered by job losses, and the commercial puts Mrs. Clinton squarely on the side of workers against greedy bosses — right where her Democratic rival, Senator Bernie Sanders, has long positioned himself.

Why the Critics of Bernienomics Are Wrong - for those interested

From Reich's blog http://robertreich.org/post/140353623180

Not day goes by, it seems, without the mainstream media bashing Berney Sanders’s economic plan – quoting certain economists as saying his numbers don’t add up. (The New York Times did it again just yesterday.) They’re wrong. You need to know the truth, and spread it.

Just a cut and paste to keep it all in perspective. We are all so under the thumb of main stream media. Gotta keep the facts alive.
