The coronavirus somehow figures out how to spread through digital networks, thus bypassing all of our social distancing strategies.

Like, reverse engineering a 3d printer.

The virus figures out a way to jump from physical to virtual, and back and forth.

I bet there's already a movie like that, right? (The Matrix?)

Want to know some potential terrifying scenarios?

Just a couple of places my brain keeps going:

1) if California were to start burning again

2) if internet goes down, for any reason

3) if power grid is disrupted, for any reason

4) prisons. This is actually an area that I cannot imagine any good outcome for. The fact that it hasn't already become a massive problem is mystifying, and probably leading many to mistakenly believe it won't be a major catastrophe. It's a ticking time bomb, imho.

Thinking about those things actually makes me appreciate how things are, right now. But it could change in a moment. I'm not dwelling on them, but they keep popping above the surface, asking me to consider the "what ifs" then.

So the airlines just had their best year ever?

Seems that was the time to prepare for lean times, or is that something only we peons need to do?

I have an idea! Tax rates that take those boom years into account and stash the excess money into the Federal government, to be used to prepare the public for potential crises? Kind of like insurance?

Bloomberg, or some billionaire, needs to buy and widely distribute

One (or many) of those rapid test kits that are being developed elsewhere in the world.

Something that people can self-administer and mail to a testing lab that has rapid turnaround.

The hitch would be that it's not FDA or CDC approved, but it would be for the individuals own private use and knowledge.

Yes, I do see all the potential pitfalls, so please don't post them as though I'm an idiot. I just think that, all things considered, it would help.

The Hong Kong pet dog that was tested for coronavirus has died two days after being released from a government quarantine having been declared virus-free.

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) in Hong Kong said it was notified by the owner of the 17-year old Pomeranian that the dog had died on Monday.

“The owner expressed that she didn’t wish to let her dog undergo postmortem to confirm its cause of death,” the AFCD told MarketWatch in an emailed statement.

Was he coordinating with private-sector companies to ensure they cornered the coronavirus test kit/testing market? Is that what he was doing while he knew?

I just watched the first few minutes of today's presser

Had to turn it off as soon as that fucker Trump said that "private companies" are going to have testing up and running soon.

How goddamned obvious is it what has happened?? Why the fuck aren't we doing something, anything, to not only expose this, but to stop it?? I'm livid right now, not because it's new info, but because we have all accepted it! He's getting away with it, AGAIN!!

Goddamned motherfucker did everything in his power to prevent us from using the WHO testing protocol, so that he and his cronies can cash in on this catastrophe!

This fucking disaster is 100% his, and let's NEVER let anyone forget it while they rewrite history!!

All I can do is vent, but I sure as hell hope he pays for this.
