Jeffrey Sachs on the Clinton Foundation and on the sense of entitlement of Wall Street

There is another short video of Sachs at the link below on the Wall Street mentality.

http://www.theguardian.com/business/video/2012/apr/12/jeffrey-sachs-wall-street-video

"I live near Wall Street. The sense of entitlement of Wall Street is beyond quantification. They could not figure out why anyone could be mad at them for nearly having destroyed the world economy, taken home $30 billion a year of bonuses, gotten bailed out to the tune of another trillion dollars, then lobbied for no regulation afterwards, and "what do those kids have against us?"...and you know what, I don't think that they were kidding, except themselves. I think that they don't get it. So that was experiment #8. Wreck the planet. Do you accept any responsibility? No."

This "qualification" smear is nothing new from Hillary; it is recycled from 2008

Hillary said she and John McCain were qualified, Obama was not.

Fox News and Newsmax are not regarded as credible sources of information at DU, right?

But it is OK if James Murdoch, Rupert's son, and Chris Ruddy, the owner of NewsMax, are both big contributors to the cesspool called the Clinton Foundation? Why is that?

https://www.clintonfoundation.org/blog/authors/christopher-ruddy

Chris Ruddy wrote pieces on Vince Foster in the 1990's. He has pledged $1 million to the Clinton Foundation over 5 years.

But Chris says why is Fox writing pieces questioning me contributing to the Clinton Foundation when James Murdoch is big contributor to them?

Here's a list of people and businesses that have pledged/contributed from $1 million to $5 million to the Clinton Foundation. See Ruddy and Murdoch listed back to back.

https://www.clintonfoundation.org/contributors?category=%241%2C000%2C001%20to%20%245%2C000%2C000&page=1

Does anybody have a reasonable explanation of why these people would be contributing to the Clinton Foundation, and why the Clinton Foundation would be taking their money?

Van Jones Tweet on Bill Clinton & BLM episode

The "Big Dawg" just peed on the carpet with this one. @billclinton defending "super predator" language is WRONG!

After all the shit Hillary has been throwing at Bernie

Bernie just told Seth Myers that on Hillary Clinton's worst day she is 100 times better than any of the Republicans.

We can be sure we will never see such generosity of spirit from her.

Or from me, because I will still never vote for her.

Hillary Clinton on NAFTA: "you can go back and look at what I've said consistently"

http://www.npr.org/sections/itsallpolitics/2015/04/21/401123124/a-timeline-of-hillary-clintons-evolution-on-trade

<Her husband brokered and passed the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, in 1993. The move irked labor unions, which are key to organizational efforts in Democratic campaigns. As first lady, in 1996, Clinton trumpeted NAFTA as "proving its worth.">

<Two years later, she went to Davos, Switzerland, where she spoke at the World Economic Forum and thanked businesses for lobbying for the agreement. She also criticized them for not making a stronger push to give her husband fast-track authority to negotiate trade deals and limit congressional power to alter those deals.>

<during her campaign for NY Senate in 2000: "What happened to NAFTA, I think, was we inherited an agreement that we didn't get everything we should have got out of it in my opinion. I think the NAFTA agreement was flawed.>

<2004: "I think on balance NAFTA has been good for New York and America, but I also think that there are a number of areas where we're not dealt with in an upfront way in dealing with our friend to the north, Canada, which seems to be able to come up with a number of rationales for keeping New York agricultural products out of Canada.">

<2007: "NAFTA was inherited by the Clinton Administration. I believe in the general principles it represented, but what we have learned is that we have to drive a tougher bargain. Our market is the market that everybody wants to be in. We should quit giving it away so willy-nilly.>

<2008: "You know, I have been a critic of NAFTA from the very beginning. I didn't have a public position on it, because I was part of the administration, but when I started running for the Senate, I have been a critic. I've said it was flawed. ... you don't have all the record because you can go back and look at what I've said consistently.>

A Clinton finally did something Chris Hayes can't defend

I had to check in if they were covering Bill's blowup today. Chris is incredulous that Bill is still using discredited "1994 language" and referred to it as "dehumanizing".

But Joy Reid fixed it for Hillary by saying that she has repudiated that kind of language. Then she basically equated Hillary on this issue to Bernie Sanders who voted for the Crime Bill. Of course, she didn't mention that Bernie voted yes because of other provisions and gave a speech warning about the bad consequences of the provisions he thought were terrible. And then she said Bill is out of touch with the position of his wife's campaign on this.

I doubt Joy came up with this on her own. Let's see if Bubba is OK with a Hillary campaign strategy of throwing him under the bus on this one, and whether anybody outside of the campaign will swallow it.

Hillary dancing on guns in a 2008 debate

She didn't seem anti-gun then like she claims to be now.
