TheDormouse's JournalSerious question: What were Hillary's chief accomplishments as Sec of State?
President Obama has said his first secretary of state did an outstanding job.
If one were to list Hillary's top 5 accomplishments as secretary of state, what might they be?
How Hillary & DNC using loopholes for legal money laundering
Cenk Uygur/The Young Turks
"Hmmm... Some of the bribes come to me? OK, YES, OF COURSE! I'M WITH HILLARY!"
Or, at a bare minumum, "Nah, I'm not gonna to say who I'm with." -- That's the best case scenario.
Most of them just raise their hands right away: "Hillary! Hillary! I'm with Hillary! Gimme the money, gimme the money, gimme the money!"
Gee, I wonder why these politicians decided they were going to support Hillary Clinton instead of Bernie Sanders. It's because Bernie Sanders forgot to bribe them! (laughs) Silly Sanders!

US elections too f'd up even for Carter Center to try to monitor
a blast from the past, but, sadly, none of this has changed
Originally published March 28, 2005
Indeed, Mr. Carter and former President Gerald R. Ford were both quickly pressed into service to recommend election reforms. But they were mostly ignored.
Now, four years and another messy election later, Mr. Carter, 80, is being drafted for help again. Congress would be smart to listen to him this time if American elections are to rise above global laughingstock.
By the criteria Mr. Carter applies to other nations, U.S. elections are nowhere near fair. Candidates don't have equal access to the public through the media. There is no central election commission viewed as nonpartisan. Voting procedures aren't uniform, even on a statewide basis. And many places using electronic touch-screens, including Maryland, have no paper backup for recounts.
Bernie or Hillary? It all comes down to 2 remaining factors
At this point, nobody is being swayed to support Hillary over Bernie, or vice versa. Any remaining primary voters have pretty much made up their minds, whatever they might say to the press.
The main remaining factor in who will win is which candidate's supporters are more likely to actually turn out and cast a valid vote.
So it all comes down to motivation and energy.
All of the ads, the interviews, the rallies, the mudslinging from here on in are about motivating supporters to get their votes in.
(The one other little factor is who can maneuver more effectively in translating those individual precinct votes ultimately into delegate votes that count at the national convention.)
What substantive bills did Hillary get passed while in Congress?
Hillary and her supporters talk a lot about her experience and effectiveness.
OK. So what bills did she actually get done in her only elected office, representing NY in the US Senate?
I'm not talking about bills naming post offices or federal highways, or declaring national hangnail month. I mean real bills that made a difference in people's lives.
What bills did Hillary get passed in the Senate?
Hillary attacking on gun control--Could it backfire in Pennsylvania?
I know there are a lot of hunting enthusiasts in Pennsylvania. I just don't know how Pennsylvania Democrats come down on gun control.
Camp Hillary has been trying to make gun control a central part of their campaign against Bernie in New York. But could they be losing votes in Pennsylvania as a result?
FBI Director Comey has a history with the Clintons
Comey parlayed the Whitewater job into top posts in Virginia and New York, returning to Manhattan in 2002 to be the top federal prosecutor there. One of his first cases as a line attorney in the same office 15 years earlier had been the successful prosecution of Marc Rich, a wealthy international financier, for tax evasion. But on his last day as President in 2001, Bill Clinton pardoned Rich. I was stunned, Comey later told Congress. As top U.S. prosecutor in New York in 2002, appointed by George W. Bush, Comey inherited the criminal probe into the Rich pardon and 175 others Clinton had made at the 11th hour.
The Justice Department yesterday declined to file charges in one of the more unusual cases of pardons and commutations issued by President Bill Clinton in his final days in office: allegations that the former president granted clemency to four Hasidic Jews after their tiny New York state community voted almost unanimously for Hillary Rodham Clinton in the 2000 senatorial race.
After months of silence on the matter, United States Attorney James B. Comey in Manhattan, who is overseeing investigations of 176 pardons and commutations granted in the final days of Clinton's presidency, said probes of the other cases would continue....
Comey declined to elaborate on other cases, but among the most publicized pardons was the one Clinton gave to fugitive commodities trader Marc Rich. Rich's ex-wife, Denise, was a major donor to the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Clinton library foundation.
Other pardons under investigation include those granted to two clients of Hillary Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, who received $400,000 in payments for representing them. Bill Clinton's brother, Roger, also was named in a recent House committee report for "a systematic effort to trade on his brother's name" in lobbying for pardons.
The pardon investigation began with considerable fanfare shortly after Bill Clinton's spate of last-minute legal forgiveness came to light. But it slowed after Sept. 11 (2001), when the New York FBI and U.S. attorney's offices became focused almost exclusively on the war on terrorism....
Bernie: Multinational CEOs won't like me, & Wall St even less!
SEN. BERNIE SANDERS: No, I think they wont. So Hillary and I have a difference. The CEOs of large multinationals may like Hillary. They aint going to like me, and Wall Street is going to like me even less. And the reason for that is weve got to deal with the elephant in the room, which is the greed, recklessness and illegal behavior on Wall Street. When you have six financial institutions in this country that issue two-thirds of the credit cards and one-third of the mortgages, when three out of four of them are larger today than when we bailed them out because they are too big to fail, we have got to re-establish Glass-Steagall. We have got to break the large financial institutions up. So I dont thinkhaving said that, I dont think Im going to get a whole lot of campaign contributions from Wall Street. I dont have a super PAC. I dont want campaign contributions from corporate America.
And let me be clear: While there are some great corporations creating jobs and trying to do the right thing, in my viewand I say this very seriouslythe greed of the billionaire class, the greed of Wall Street is destroying this economy and is destroying the lives of millions of Americans. We need an economy that works for the middle class, not just a handful of billionaires. And I will fight and lead to make that happen.
Anybody doubt who George Carlin would be supporting in the primary?
It's pretty obvious.
And now they're coming for your social security money. They want your fckn retirement money. They want it back, so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you know something? They'll get it. They'll get it all from you sooner or later. 'Cause they own this fckn place. It's a big club. And you ain't in it. You and I are not in The Big Club....
The table is tilted, folks. The game is rigged . . .
FINALLY! Found an actual NEGATIVE Sanders ad!
