MO caucus switches in to Bernie's favor.

Ok I am just going to start a new thread on this because people keep posting to the one that is wrong and not reading the facts. As I posted in another thread earlier (twice now) these are the facts. This is the result of talking with the MO board of elections and the MO DNC. They were very helpful and took their time going back over and verifying all they said.

So according to the Missouri board of elections and the MO DNC:

There are:

9 Pleo
15 At Large

They are both bound by the initial vote and will not change.

47 Congressional District

But they are NOT bound, Bernie has won ONE more delegate so far.

My source: http://www.democraticunderground.com/~northernsouthern (Me, as I said I talked to the DNC for the state)

The most interesting thing I have realized is that the Elections Boards have very little to do with anything beyond the initial set up, they just set it up and run away. They have no to little knowledge of the caucus delegate allocation system, that is all up the parties.

So there you go, as it seems to stand it is 35 Bernie to 33 Hillary pledged, but that will not get finalized until the end of the month, anyone that tells you otherwise is selling you something.

Washington Legislative Caucus!!!

Lol the Bernie Camp sent out an email with the wrong day (but right date) a little bit ago and just corrected it. I Had replied to it the email the second I got it but had no clue if they read emails at that address. They really need a better way to contact our local office in such an emergency.

It is SUNDAY the 17th

Let's not pull a NV or MO!

P.S. http://www.wa-democrats.org/page/legislative-district-and-county-convention-locations has the date, but you have to know your Legislative District (LD).

Tom Hartman on the DU?

He just said that according to Hillary supporters the Bernie supporters ran off the Hillary supporters on the DU, that they were being singled out and left to form their own group. I have only been banned from the Hillary group and it was not for something bad at all. I have heard that Hillary supports have also been blocked from the Bernie group...but from what happened to me it left a bad taste. Tom why you gotta hate on us?

Ran the number for Voter turn out.

Compared to every state that went in the 2008 election so far I pulled in the best numbers I could and then ran the sheet to pull out a total for every state won for each candidate and tallied the total accumulative turn out change for each candidate.

He does actually pull in more voters. Of his wins 8 are above 100% of the 2008. All of the rest are above %80.4979303
excluding Utah which is at %58.8601478. This seems to be because the DNC was not willing to fund the election and went for basic caucuses unlike what the did in 2008.

The Utah Democratic Party decided not to spend the money for an online election, instead putting that cash toward a get-out-the-vote effort later this year. That means voters must attend the caucus meetings March 22. Go to caucus.utah.gov or utah democrats.org to find the caucus in your neighborhood. Unlike the Republican Party, anyone can attend and participate, as long as you bring a photo ID or a piece of mail proving your address.

and

In fact, 2016's presidential preference caucus had lower turnout than the Utah Primary in 2008. That year, 428,000 Utah Republicans and Democrats voted, compared to a 280,000 Utahns who turned out on Tuesday. The fact has many asking why Utah decided to hold a time-and-energy consuming caucus instead of a primary.

"We were disappointed last year when the State Legislature voted not to fund a state-wide primary and voted not to give any money to the political parties to run the caucuses," said Utah Democratic Party Chair, Peter Corroon.

The democrats were particularly struck with difficulty on caucus night, including long lines, a shortage of ballots and computer problems.

Both parties were down in Utah, republicans were at %59.85388146 but oddly according to the article above...

He says he expects, in future caucuses, more and more voters will be part of the system. He says the state Republican party introduced online voting to make life easier for voters.

Hilary's best was Florida, which helped her at %97.672065, her worst was Texas at %49.9444171.

I did not include AS or AA since they are not listed in the sources I pulled.

The two states that may flip to Bernie are both in the %71-76 range.

It also seems like we are getting more turn out as it goes along, but it is not an upward mark, the trend correlates more directly to Bernie wins.

For all of those complaining about the Caucuses being undemocratic...

Primaries are just an illusion...

(from wiki)

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) is a series of presidential nominating conventions held every four years since 1832 by the United States Democratic Party.[1] They have been administered by the Democratic National Committee since the 1852 national convention. The primary goal of the Democratic National Convention is to nominate and confirm a candidate for president and vice president, adopt a comprehensive party platform and unify the party.

Delegates from all fifty U.S. states and from American dependencies and territories such as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands attend the convention and cast their votes to choose the Party's presidential candidate. Like the Republican National Convention, the Democratic National Convention marks the formal end of the primary election period and the start of the general election season.

Our election is merely a primary or a caucus (wrapped in a caucus in a caucus), wrapped in a caucus, wrapped in a primary, wrapped in a caucus! Boom, mind blown!

More details on Bill in Mass polling station.

In an article called:

Emails Shed New Light on Bill Clinton’s Super Tuesday Stop in New Bedford

“Can you please have our guys do a sweep of trash/debris in that area and arrange for the big, nice sound system to be there?” Treadup Pio wrote. “As it is Election Day, Clinton is not allowed to go into the polling place and must stay 100 feet away…So, we may need to use lots of extension cords or try to tap into the power at a nearby pole instead.”

In one email, assistant chief of staff Kristine Arsenault said the city was told “no stage, no podium, no sound—no public speech,” because the Clinton campaign declined the sound system. A stage was set up in a nearby field, but promptly taken down.

It would not be the last time Shreve heard from Tassinari on Super Tuesday. “Are there arrangements for voters to still be able to get into the polls? We just received a complaint from a voter who was unable to get near the polling place as it was blocked off because of Bill Clinton’s presence,” Tassinari wrote. “He was unable to vote and will not have an opportunity to go back.”

The article is a good read, but sadly it is the best I have found so far bit shish it had a bit more details. Site seems legit.

Blocking Group Feeds

Hey I was told my post is better for this location. I was banned from the Clinton Group for simply telling someone they were going off topic, no bad words, no negative attacks, just a serious discussion. At first I wanted back in, but I saw how offensive many of the posts were on there to me I realized I just would rather not deal with the feed from that group. So I posted a thread asking how to do it and before it was locked I was insulted a couple times, but I also got two really helpful responses...

immoderate (20,062 posts)
13. To block a group —

Click on the folder for the forum you want to block
The button to block the group is in the header
Punch the button.

and

--imm (8,570 posts)
14. On the left side you will find the Topic "Democrats" Click on that & then click on Hilllary Clinton

at the top you will see a button to "trash this forum". That will block the feed for you.

You can always go to your account and undo this later.

I did the folder selection from the first post
Then I hit the "Trash This" listed in the second post and selected the everything option.

Just checking if this is correct, and figured this tread question could help others like me since the other one was locked.

Thanks

How do we block the Hillary Group feed?

Not sure the best place to post this. I use the latest threads, with "show all" because this site has many good threads, but the HRC group posts are often derisive and offensive. I tried to talk with one thread when I first joined and was blocked for tell a poster they were going off topic. Cha responded to a request to unblock me because I did not break any rule, but never got back to me on unblocking me or telling me how to block the group. I think it is best if I can just ignore their threads since they are often quite offensive and click baity for us that like to fact check and bridge build. While I am able to post in other threads and comment about the nature of tone and ask for links and follow ups this group does not allow free speech.

I know this is thread is less general, but it is about a political group but also a help request. I posted in the help thread yesterday on the blocking and mentioned the request option on filtering out this group. If this is in the wrong group discussion I can more it, just not having luck elsewhere.

DNC, new campaign? Take the Pledge!

So just got this email from the Washington DNC...

and this is there it takes me...

Seems like they are getting worried about people not voting or perhaps PR so they can claim this many strong signed? It is funny since I know all of the superdelegates in our area were getting so many calls they were setting up separate lines or policies on where to route people to when they called complaining about how the supers were not representing the state vote. Perhaps that is a sign they are starting to listen. Too bad they are spending the party money on this pr stunt.
