If I were privileged enough to be part of the WH press pool, here is the question I would pose:

"You have self-identified as a 'germophobe,' acknowledging a psychiatric disorder; do you think that disorder had any impact on your disastrous response to the pandemic? (Follow) And as a so-called 'germophobe' how do you respond to the reality that 100 years from now the history books will refer to this event as the Trumpvirus?"

The mayor of Las Vegas is a kook. Just sayin'

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman again implored the governor to allow businesses to reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic, saying today the shutdown is “killing” the economy.

Goodman, who earlier compared the virus to the common flu, also questioned whether there was data to support the shutdown and downplayed the number of virus-related deaths.

Goodman expressed condolences over the 130 coronavirus deaths in Nevada, but she emphasized the patients died from complications attributed “in part” to COVID-19. The number of deaths should not warrant such drastic measures, she said.

“Those whom we’ve lost represent less than a half of 1% of our population, which has caused us to shut down our entire state and everything that makes Nevada unique,” Goodman said.

First U.S coronavirus case of unknown origin confirmed in Northern California, a sign the virus may be spreading in a local area

BREAKING: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been informed of the first case of the coronavirus in a person who did not recently return from a foreign country or have contact with a confirmed case, according to a person briefed on the case. Officials have begun tracing the contacts of the resident to find out how the person may have been infected and who else might have been exposed...

This is a developing story. It will be updated.

A new case of coronavirus was confirmed in the United States on Wednesday as several other countries also confirmed new cases and deaths, and President Trump called for a 6:30 p.m. news conference with officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others to discuss the spread of the virus. He accused the media of stoking panic about financial markets.

This broke as the dotard was self-fellating on live TV.

She was so obviously the person on stage who would make the best candidate and the best chief executive.

Here's a Dylan tune that to me, born in '68, really captures our moment 50+ years on.

Besides that, it is one of the greatest songs/performances ever.

Kid tricks NBA cameraman into showing 'Stand With Hong Kong' T-shirt

This is great, but the speed with which the cameraman tries to move the frame seems rather craven.

On a day of chaos, sorrow, and more stress upon our institutions, can I remind us of a better time?

You're welcome

Regarding Impeachment: What About a Special Committee?

I admit that I am not anything near literate when it comes to procedure in the House, but could not Speaker Pelosi create a special committee to investigate the president, and give it exceptional powers of investigation, which would be a way to straddle that line between full on impeachment and doing nothing.

Like I said, I'm no expert on how this works, but I just wonder if there is some mechanism by which we can expose the findings of the Mueller report, without turning so many off with the word "impeachment".

I TRUST Speaker Pelosi!!

Look, my instinct is impeach NOW too, but guess what ... I am also aware that the Speaker is so much smarter than I am when it comes to making political decisions, and frankly, I think all of us owe her the same.

When the time has come for impeachment to proceed, she will let us know. If you think you know more about how to play this game than our Speaker, then you are not helping, respectfully.
