Video: James Franco says 'Clinton is the most interesting woman in the world'

This is pretty good. Apologies if it has been posted elsewhere on DU; I didn't see it.

In early Utah turnout, a third more Democrats than expected have voted

Source: The Salt Lake Tribune

About a third more Utah Democrats have voted so far than normally would be expected in early turnout for by-mail voting — while fewer-than-predicted Republicans are casting ballots.

"That shows us there is an excitement amongst Democrats," Utah Republican Party Chairman James Evans concedes, while "there is a frustration level amongst Republicans" with Donald Trump atop their ticket.

He says the situation is giving the Utah GOP some heartburn over how that will affect other state and local races.

Democrats are energized in Utah -- as someone who lived there for nearly 30 years, I don't think I've ever heard those words before!

Evan McMullin takes the lead in latest Utah presidential poll

Source: The Salt Lake Tribune

The Emerson College poll, released Wednesday, found McMullin with 31 percent, followed by Republican Donald Trump at 27 percent and Democrat Hillary Clinton at 24 percent.

The last 20 polls found Trump ahead or in a statistical tie, and in this poll McMullin's results are at the edge of the 3.9 percent margin of error.

-snip-

Emerson College found that McMullin was strongest among younger voters, claiming 36 percent among those 18 to 34, while Trump and Clinton received 22 percent each. Trump beats McMullin, 35 percent to 24 percent among those who are 55 and older.

Polls from the Beehive State have been a bit all over the place lately, but the trend is definitely toward a statistical three-way tie. Just the fact that Utah -- a state where quite often there is not even a Democratic candidate for state leg. on the ballot in many districts -- is in play for Hillary

New poll shows Trump leading Clinton by 17 points in Utah

Source: Salt Lake Tribune

The poll of likely voters, conducted Oct. 12-14, shows Trump at 37 percent, with Clinton at 20 percent. Independent candidate Evan McMullin is tied with Clinton at 20 percent, while Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green candidate Jill Stein polled at 7 percent and 1 percent, respectively.

Among Mormons, the poll revealed that 37 percent support Trump and 28 percent back McMullin, a member of the LDS Church. Just 11 percent of Mormons support Clinton.

I know we've all been hoping to turn the Beehive state blue, but unfortunately there is a high level of rabid anti-Clinton sentiment among Mormons and McMullin seems to be drawing many of the anti-Trump Mormons.

Hillary in Vegas tonight -- What a great turnout!!

I made the drive up and was very, very glad to have done so. The crowd was amazing. The line to get in wound for nearly a mile, and while waiting I had some great conversations. Everyone was happy, positive, super intelligent, and ultimately incredibly enthusiastic about how GREAT our country is and how we can come together to make it even better. In other words, it was everything that a Cheeto turd emperor rally is not.

Hillary knocked it out of the park!! Let's do this!! GOTV!!!

On my way to see HRC and CCM -- Live in Vegas!!

I'm really excited. Vegas is about an hour and a half drive, so three hours RT, but well worth the time and expense. I felt I just had to attend at least one more live event in this historic campaign. I had the privilege of being at Moda Center in PDX last year when Bernie brought his rock show to town.

Now, for the first time in my adult life I live in a battleground state -- just moved to Nevada a coupla moths ago -- and I have a chance to vote for the most qualified candidate in modern political history. I couldn't be prouder to do so. A chance to vote against Signor Cheeto Benito is just icing on the cake.

Also, this is my first ever DU OP
