Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) decided to mark President’s Day by proposing that red states break off from the United States of America.

“We need a national divorce,” Greene declared on Twitter. “We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”

Dustin Thompson, a college-educated Ohio man who testified that he believed Trump's lies about the 2020 election, was convicted on six charges in April after he told jurors he was seeking Trump's "respect" and "approval" on Jan. 6. His prior attorney argued that Trump "authorized" the attack on the Capitol, and took advantage of "vulnerable" people like his client.

"You didn't love America that day," Senior U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton told Thompson while sentencing him on Friday. Walton said he didn't understand how "people can be gullible enough to accept a lie and act on that lie."

Thompson's new lawyer said in a filing ahead of his sentencing that Thompson was working with "an individual that specializes in cult deprograming" and "was confronted with facts about the 'stolen election' conspiracy theory among others and how psychological manipulation is used to indoctrinate the followers of a conspiracy."

In total twice as many Americans died from covid than WW1 and WW2 combined and it is just accepted.

Studies show twice as many Republicans died once vaccines became widely available.

The covid lies and deaths need to be investigated, those responsible need to be held to account, and lessons about right-wing propaganda need to be learned (by Republicans in particular).

Elon Musk has told Twitter staff that they must commit to working "long hours at high intensity" or else leave the company, according to reports.

In an email to staff, the social media giant's new owner said workers should agree to the pledge if they wanted to stay, the Washington Post reported.

Those who do not sign up will be given three months severance pay, Mr Musk added.

The BBC has contacted Twitter for comment.

In his email to staff, also seen by The Guardian, Mr Musk said that Twitter "will need to be extremely hardcore" in order to succeed.

"This will mean working long hours at high intensity. Only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade," he said.

I urge you to avenge the appalling way you have been treated by the Republican Party. These RINOs have shown you a lack of respect. Some of them have refused to call you great. Some are trying to block your involvement in the Georgia runoff. Some have even blamed you for the idiots who couldn’t even defeat their Democratic challengers. They side with the corrupt media instead of recognizing your achievements to unite this nation. I urge you to destroy the Republican Party, to divide the party, and to rip it to shreds. Only through aggressive action will they show you the respect you deserve. In particular, you would be admired by Putin and every tough guy if you could damage Ron DeSanctimonious and the old crow, McConnell. Indeed, some allies were calling on Trump to delay his planned announcement next week, saying the party’s full focus needs to be on Georgia, where Trump-backed football great Herschel Walker’s effort to unseat Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock is headed to a runoff that could determine control of the Senate once again.

“I’ll be advising him that he move his announcement until after the Georgia runoff,” said former Trump adviser Jason Miller, who spent the night with the former president at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. “Georgia needs to be the focus of every Republican in the country right now,” he said.
