So, China "based on lack of respect" keeps tariffs. That is no strategy. And who is it that has been disrespectful?

If anyone has shown a lack of respect it is Trump and his imbeciles, such as Vance calling Chinese peasants, and saying the Chinese people have been borrowing from USA (when the opposite is true). Trump's list of made up tariffs from other nations is beyond contempt.

Trump speaking down to and threatening other world leaders, and saying they would be kissing his ass, mocking them by saying “Please, Sir, make a deal. I’ll do anything. I’ll do anything, Sir,” and simply accusing other nations of bad faith for no reason and demanding money from them is deeply disrespectful and damaging to our global relationships.

I'm sorry Trump's delicate feelings are hurt because China stood up to him, but that is no way to determine economic policy. This isn't a game. No good will come from being the world's asshole.

F**k Jake Tapper. He's releasing a book about "Biden's Decline." and "Its cover up." Why not start with a look at Trump?

Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again

From two of America’s most respected journalists, an unflinching and explosive reckoning with one of the most fateful decisions in American political history: Joe Biden’s run for reelection despite evidence of his serious decline—amid desperate efforts to hide the extent of that deterioration

No wonder research into childhood cancer needs to be axed. Billionaires are up only $2 trillion compared to last year.

Forbes has been scanning the globe for billionaires since 1987. We found 140 of them that first year. It took two decades for their numbers to swell beyond 1,000. Then there were 2,000 in 2017. Now, eight years later, another milestone: 3,028 entrepreneurs, investors and heirs make up this year’s ranking, 247 more than a year ago. Not only are there more of them, but they’re richer than ever, worth $16.1 trillion in total—up nearly $2 trillion over 2024.

Trump's tariff lies show he's a know-nothing petulant child who can't be trusted, and he's the world's worst negotiator.

When your opponents have no confidence in you and think you are a dishonest moron, you aren't exactly in a strong negotiating position.

CNN Fact check: Trump falsely says Europe doesn’t buy anything from US, wildly exaggerates trade deficit with China

SNIP

“We have a tremendous deficit problem with China. They have a surplus of at least a trillion dollars a year. I think it’s like a trillion-one,” he (Trump) said.

As we’ve noted in previous fact checks, those numbers are not close to accurate. In fact, official federal statistics show the 2024 trade deficit with China in goods and services trade was about $263 billion. Even if you exclude the services trade, at which the US excels, and count only trade in goods, the 2024 deficit with China was about $295 billion

He said Sunday: “They (Europe) don’t take our cars. They don’t take our food products. They don’t take anything. And we take their cars: Mercedes, Volkswagen, BMW. You know, we take their millions of cars. They take no cars. They don’t take our farm product. They don’t take anything. “

They don’t take anything” is far from the truth. While the European Union certainly has some trade barriers that make it harder for US companies to export products there, the official federal statistics show the US exported about $649 billion worth of goods and services to the European Union in 2024.

It’s similarly false that “they don’t take our farm products.” While the EU does have some trade barriers that impede US agricultural exports, the US Department of Agriculture says the EU bought $12.8 billion worth of US agricultural exports in 2024, making it the fourth-largest export market for US agricultural and related products behind Mexico, Canada and China. And while US automakers have often struggled to succeed in Europe, Trump went too far when he said, “They take no cars.” According to a report last month from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, “164,857 US-made cars were exported to the EU in 2024,”

Despicable: Stephen Miller Wildly Claims Trump Inherited a 'Depression' - Gets Zero Pushback From Faux News Host

PARTIAL MILLER QUOTE

We inherited from Joe Biden an economy in total free fall. There has been zero jobs growth for American workers in four years. All the jobs growth had gone to foreign workers. That is a depression, not a recession, that is a depression for the American worker. We had debt and deficits that were rising unsustainably that would lead us into a certain debt and deficit crisis. We had inflation that was in high double digits crushing the American family, making it possible to afford the essentials of life. We had an economy that was in a state of calamity and catastrophe.

(Faux News host Sandra) Smith responded, “Alright, [I’d] love to continue the conversation. Hope to have you back on, Stephen. Thank you so much.”
