How many Trumpsters actually buy stocks?

Trump’s base says they still support him because the stock market is doing well. The pundits say if the market crashes Trump’s base will abandon him. I call bullshit.

Most of Trump's base doesn't play the stock market, have a portfolio and most likely have no 401K and are living paycheck to paycheck.

They support him unconditionally because he's a cruel racist who makes life miserable for brown skinned people and hates the same people they hate.

That's why Trump got elected in the first place. It wasn't about the economy or stock market which were already doing well under Obama. It was because Trump promised to build a wall, ban muslims and stop brown skinned immigrants from entering the country.

Honestly the strong economy is just an excuse for Republicans (aka Trumpublicans) to keep voting for this white nationalist and his cruel policies. If a recession hits before November they'll still vote to re-elect him.

The media needs to get real and stop trying to normalize this Grand Wizard and his cult of followers.

Prediction for tonight's debate

It will be an hour long barrage of questions about Medicare For All and how Bernie is going to pay for it. Just like every other debate we've had the past year.

A second hour will be spent questioning candidates about their criminal justice record and accusations of racism.

Basically another night spent arguing over the details of a healthcare bill that Mitch McConnell will never allow to become law. While portaying all our candidates as not caring about police violence towards the black community. And no questions about our racist President and his white supremacist policies who has no healthcare plan and is in court trying to end Obamacare.

Hopefully I'm wrong but the MSM is oh so predictable.

How we got here... Choice Paralysis

In the beginning we had 20 candidates and now we have around a half dozen left that are unable to unite the Democratic Party to take on Trump. And everyone except Bernie supporters are panicking.

This is s result of having too many choices and too few debates. In hindsight the DNC should have split the debates into 3 or 4 groups to give lesser known candidates a chance to speak. And dropped the stupid polling threshold since polls aren't reliable anymore.

It shocked me how many interesting and diverse candidates had to drop out before a single vote was cast. And how in the days before Iowa and New Hampshire people were still undecided about who to vote for.

Basically we as a party had choice paralysis. And Democrats who don't want Bernie to win still have it. That's why the so called "moderate" vote kerps getting split between Buttigieg, Biden, Warren and Klobuchar.
We were so concerned with electability and finding the perfect candidate to beat Trump we were overly cautious.

Choice Paralysis:
1. When we have more choices, we make worse decisions.

2. Having too much choice causes paralysis so we cannot make any decision at all.

3. More importantly, we also spend time thinking about the choices we didn’t pick, instead of being happy with the one we did choose. The more choices, the more we feel we ‘missed out on.

At this point we have to unite as a party to defeat Trump. If the nominee is Bernie so be it. However he definitely needs to reach out to the supporters of the other candidates and drop the whole "Democratic Establishment" line of attack. Trump and Putin ate trying to divide us like in 2016. We're all responsible for not allowing that to happen again.

Trump's insanity regarding Russia

Insane: uable to think in a clear or sensible way
Trump’s attitude towards Russian interference in our elections is pure insanity.

Ever since Comey informed him that Russia interfered he has denied it, overreacted and acts like it's all a deep state conspiracy.

Trump still reacts by firing people, obstructing investigations and trying to prove it was Ukraine and not Russia. His actions lead to the Mueller investigation and even got him impeached. And yet he's still doing everything he can to make sure Russia can continue to interfere in our elections.

Either he's a total moron or a Russian asset. Either way he's got no one to blame but himself for the endless investigations and suspicions regarding his relationship with Putin. The guy is obsessed with proving Russia didn't help him win in 2016 and blows a gasket anytime the intelligent community mentions the interference is ongoing. It's total insanity and he's never going to try to stop them.

What poll do you trust the most? If any...

There's so many different polls trying to predict who's going to win the Democratic nomination. Which one do you trust the most?

Personally I don't trust any of them after what happened in 2016. At this point the only one I consistently check is Trump’s approval rating on Five Thirty Eight. To make sure it's still underwater.

What are your fears about a Trump 2nd term?

What are your biggest fears about what Trump might do if he's re-elected?
Personally I've always had the same fear: That he might deliberately or inadvertently start a nuclear war. Or more likely a world war in the middle east.

My secondary fear is that his domestic policies are going to get me or one of my family and friends killed. Possibly due to lack of healhcare, gun violence, EPA rollbacks, eliminating the social safety net, etc...

Undoubtedly his cognitive decline and pathological narcissism is going to get worse. And the Republican party is going to become even more extreme.

Bernie's health records

The one concern that seems to keeps coming up with voters and the media regarding Bernie is that he's 78 years old and had a heart attack last October.

Personally I think he could put this issue to rest by releasing his full medical records. Just like John McCain did in 2008. The fact that Bernie decided not to release them before the Iowa caucus after promising to makes it look like he has something to hide.

What do other people think? You know if he gets the nomination the Trump campaign is going to make up rumors about his health just like they did with Hillary.

Why so many federal judge vacancies?

I've read Grim Reaper McConnell has filled around a 100 federal judge vacancies so far and is still going strong. My question, if federal judges get lifetime appointments, why are their so many open seats right now?

Did hundreds of judges suddenly die or resign? I realize Mitch blocked most of Obama's judiciary picks but it still doesn't make sense.
