Nearly 30 million Americans think its okay to have neo-Nazi views

A frightening new poll has found that 9 percent of Americans believe it’s “acceptable” to hold white supremacists or neo-Nazi views — the equivalent of nearly 30 million people.

The survey, which was conducted by the Washington Post and ABC News, showed that of those 9 percent, a third “strongly agreed” with the statement, “Do you think it’s acceptable or unacceptable to hold neo-Nazi or white supremacist views?”

Overall, 10 percent of respondents described themselves as supporters of the “alt-right” movement, an attempted rebranding of the white supremacist movement, while 41 percent said they had no opinion on the matter. The survey found that 42 percent thought that Trump had put white supremacists and neo-Nazis “on equal standing with those who opposed them”.

The poll, which was conducted in the wake of the protests in Charlottesville, also showed that 56 percent of respondents disapproved of Trump’s response to the violence that took place that weekend, while 28 percent approved.

Ex-CIA agent raising money to buy Twitter and delete Trump's account

Valerie Plame Wilson, a former CIA agent, is raising money through a GoFundMe page. This is an effort to buy a controlling share of Twitter so she can delete Trump’s account.

Wilson formally worked at the CIA from 1985 to 2005 as a covert operations officer. She was forced to resign after a 2003 leak. Her resignation happened once her identity was revealed, which also led to the indictment of Scooter Libby.

Her goal is to reach $1 billion dollars, which would be enough shares to buy a controlling stake in Twitter and boot Trump. As of the 23rd, she has raised almost $5,000.

The GoFundMe page reads, “Donald Trump has done a lot of horrible things on Twitter. From emboldening white supremacists to promoting violence against journalists, his tweets damage the country and put people in harm’s way. But threatening actual nuclear war with North Korea takes it to a dangerous new level.”

Valerie started the GoFundMe account because executives at Twitter were refusing to delete Trump’s account after ignoring multiple calls to enforce the company’s community standards and delete Trump’s account.

States listed with most hate groups. Where does California rank?

California ranks No. 1 in the nation with 79 active hate groups, six of which operate in Sacramento area, according to a new report released by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups and extremists in the U.S.

The Southern Poverty Law Center report includes a detailed map of the 917 hate groups actively operating across the United States. Florida ranks second among states, with 63 active hate groups.

In the Sacramento area, the report cited six active hate groups: Golden State Skinheads, a racist skinhead group, the Traditionalist Worker Party, a white nationalist group, the Pacific Justice Institute and Verity Baptist Church, both anti-LGBT groups, and As-Sabiqun and European-American Evangelistic Crusades, general hate groups.

In June 2016, a rally by members of the Traditionalist Worker Party in the shadow of the state Capitol devolved into violence when members clashed with Antifa, or anti-fascist demonstrators. Ten people were injured, with at least five stabbed in the violent confrontation.

William Planer, a member of the Traditionalist Worker Party, was arrested in July in Colorado for his role in the riot and is awaiting a California court appearance.

A Berkeley teacher and activist who was arrested with two others in June 2016 bloody clash between neo-Nazis and anti-fascist counter-demonstrators faced a Sacramento judge Thursday for the first time on assault charges in the case.

The DOJ Wants the IP Addresses of All Visitors to Anti-Trump Website

Source: Law Street Media

On July 17, the Department of Justice issued a search warrant to the website hosting company DreamHost in order to gain access to the IP addresses of people who visited www.disruptj20.org. The website coordinated protests of Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.

On Monday, DreamHost made the warrant public, as it plans to challenge the DOJ in court. Privacy advocates call the government’s request an unconstitutional “fishing expedition,” looking for people who are critical of the president. The warrant requested access to the website founder’s information, as well as the IP addresses of about 1.3 million people who visited it.

Now people are outraged that the government is targeting people visiting a website that is critical of the president, which is not a crime. “This specific case and this specific warrant are pure prosecutorial overreach by a highly politicized department of justice under [Attorney General Jeff] Sessions,” said Chris Ghazarian, general counsel for DreamHost.

The people behind DreamHost are determined to fight the warrant in court. Ghazarian said they are the gatekeepers between the government and all the people visiting the website: “We want to keep them protected.”

Scaramucci criticizes Trump's reaction to Charlottesville violence

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci had harsh words for President Donald Trump's reaction to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, this weekend.

Scaramucci spoke to ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on ABC News' "This Week" today in his first television interview since his whirlwind 11-day stint in the White House.

"I wouldn't have recommended that statement," Scaramucci said of Trump's words on Saturday from Bedminster, New Jersey. "I think he would have needed to have been much harsher."

"With the moral authority of the presidency, you have to call that stuff out," Scaramucci said, referring to Trump's seeming unwillingness to condemn the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, where clashes between white nationalists and counter-protest groups forced the city to declare a state of emergency Saturday.

Scaramucci went on to criticize the influence of the website Breitbart and Steven Bannon, who was the executive chairman of Breitbart before joining the Trump campaign and later the administration, saying that there's "this sort of 'Bannon-bart' influence" in the White House that he thinks "is a snag on the president."

Trump Reportedly Having EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIR With White House Staffer Hope Hicks

Washington is abuzz with reports that Hope Hicks, the 28-year-old White House Director of Strategic Communications—who, like most of Trump’s hires and appointments, had zero political experience—is Trump’s girlfriend. She has the highest salary of any of Trump’s aides—$179,700—and Trump paid for her apartment during the campaign.

Hicks was a former model who worked in public relations until 2012, when she started helping Ivanka Trump expand her fashion line. She also modeled for Ivanka’s website, which is supposedly how Trump “discovered” her. She joined the Trump organization full-time in 2014.

Allegedly, Trump has cute nicknames for her, like “Hopester” and “Hopie.” She’s always with him—their offices are in close proximity to one another—and she speaks very highly of him, almost like she’s in love:

”President Trump has a magnetic personality and exudes positive energy, which is infectious to those around him. He has an unparalleled ability to communicate with people, whether he is speaking to a room of three or an arena of 30,000."
