Possibly The Best Way for Players to Respond

Since everything these gutless owners do is for the purpose of keeping their wallets as fat as possible - in fact causing them to get ever fatter. For this they need their players. The players should show unity and let the owners and Roger Goodell know that unless these un-American positions are reversed by the league and the teams, they will go on strike - en masse! That will send a message straight to those billionaire wallets. The owners will find it very hard to ignore, with the whole season at risk for the whole league.

Here is Section 2381 of Title 18 of the U S Code

This is the treason statute 18 USC, section 2381:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States

Note especially the last clause of the statute. In a sense violation of this statute amounts to a self executing impeachment (and conviction) when applied to a president.

Poor Little Marco!

Senator (Really!) Marco -- You are offended by a woman who had just watched five of her colleagues murdered in her presence — And— was undobtedly in utterly genuine fear for her own life, using the word “fucking” while being interviewed. Really??? You poor baby! Perhaps you should protect your oh so dainty and delicate ears by quitting your position in the United States Senate (for which you are so entirely unqualified anyway) and entering a monastary in which all the monks take a holy vow of silence! That ought to work.

Words Fail David Corn (and the Rest of Us)

David - The word “hypocrisy” is too tired for the job you’ve given it here. Even “chutzpah” and “gross effrontery” are not up the task. I can’t think of a single expression that is adequate.

One thing I think we can agree on though is that McConnell is pure, unadulturated evil!

To Make This Situation Count Politically

Question: since the implementation of the presidential policy of incarcerating children deprives (or has already deprived) them of fifth amendment rights (freedom, e.g.) - which, remember, are not limited to citizens - why isn’t the order to carry out such a policy by Trump a violation of Trumps oath of office? And if it is why isn’t that violation an impeachable offense (abuse o power?) to go along with any that Mueller is working on. No Russians needed!

I realize there may be some who will say that your wonderful rant will in some small way exacerbate the division and polarization in the country. Such people would just be continuing in the long and disgusting habit of being “even handed”, of taking the ridiculously and outrageous false position that “both sides are equally to blame” for the parlous state of debate in this country, and of being gutless. I believe you are right in the money. The Trump lovers, in fact, are completely at fault for the disaster occuring now in this country and and completely deserve the brilliant shaming that you visited on them. Again, thank you!

Am I Crazy To Raise The Following Trump - White House Issue?

I was listening to AMJoy a few minutes ago when one of the guests pointed out that Trump has as yet not said anything about the Hawaii nuclear missile scare. A frightening possibility suddenly occurred to me -- that the WH still hasn't told Trump about this event. Is it possible that people like General Kelly and General McMaster are, and were, afraid to talk to Trump about this for fear of his reaction to it -- even now, a day later?
