Michelle Obama is right, there is no hope with Trump. Before 11/8 I had lots of hope

for my future and the future of America. After 11/9 I have no hope for either. Regardless of whatever Unpotus tweets he is the reason I have no hope, him, and his creepy lawbreaking family and his cabinet of horrors.

I had the worst Christmas ever and I've had a lot of hard candy Christmases. I didn't spend any money and don't plan on it.

Trump is a liar, a pathological liar and lifelong con man and a domestic threat to the USA and to Americans.

I agree with Michelle Obama we are feeling what it's like to have no hope. I certainly have none.

When the media called the "election" for tRump I described my experience

like being beaten, kicked repeatedly in the gut, badly beaten and then there's a knock at the door and it's the authorities coming to notify me of the unexpected, sudden death of a loved one, in this case, the loved one is my country, America, and all that I knew and loved about America. Then to add insult to injury, nobody will investigate the murder.

This is how I have described my experience after 11/9. Normally I am an articulate person but the shock of this travesty has left me in a place where I struggle to find my words. For at least 3 weeks and even now there is a pain in my solar plexus area like I was brutally beaten. Literally, this has been my gut reaction.

Anyone else? Anyone relate?

My Constitutional question, a question that came to me on 11/10 and I articulated on

11/12 after the "election" my question is this:

There are people in government who swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the USA and the US Constitution. How does upholding this sworn oath work when transferring power to a man that threatens entire groups of American people?

How is that possible? Obviously some government officials could care less about this solemn oath, their word means nothing, they have no integrity or values, perhaps they are sold out to the highest corporate bidder, or being blackmailed by Russia, or whatever but some, who are honorable, honest people have sworn this oath and tRump is a one man constitutional crisis who literally threatens Americans and the Constitution.

So, how does this work? If tRump is allowed to violate laws, threaten groups of people, refuse to comply with releasing tax returns, violates nepotism regs, basically does whatever he wants while tweeting threats about union leaders, nuclear weapons, dissenting opinions, and manipulating stock prices.

My first time back at DU after the DU hack. Nothing has been the same since.

I happened to be on DU when it was hacked. It didn't seem to me to be a Trump troll it seemed more dastardly, bigger more calculated in my opinion. And nothing has been the same since that moment when "God emperor" repeated over and over on my screen.

This is my first time back here after that and my first post. I completely agree with another post here in General Discussion from someone who has avoided news and DU since 11/9. I haven't watched any MSM TV since the "election" was called for Unpotus which was reminiscent of 2004 EVote fiasco.

The national gas lighting by Don the Con and his complicit media has given way to a national nervous breakdown. We're expected to believe that a minority of Americans have created this result in spite of all the facts stacked against him. We're being sold a bill of goods, a lemon, a magic bullet theory only worse the minority president and his cabinet of horrors will get away with every evil plan to destroy the USA because we have no checks and balances, the corrupt GOP has been actively working against America and the majority of American people for at least 15 years or more.

This "election" isn't normal it's UNPRECEDENTED! Trump is a domestic threat. He has already destabilized America. The Electoral College failed to do it's Constitutional duty. The press conference the POTUS gave didn't give any indication that Trump will be stopped from usurping power, actually, the press conference seemed to normalize this sham of an "election" and failed to mention Trump is completely unqualified and unfit, not to mention mentally unstable. That press conference scolded the press but made me feel worse and I've been a supporter of President Obama since he was campaigning for his first term.

This "election" is the 3rd questionable one - and I am being generous here - this time Russia interfered, the FBI interfered, there was GOP Voter suppression and Gerrymandering, plus we still have electronic voting with no paper trail, the state governments shut down recount efforts to verify voting, the complicit media that gave Trump 2 billion $ in free airtime, fake news, propaganda...all of it points to a sham.

And here we are. Don the Con is getting away with it. The GOP has finally destroyed America. Our Republican controlled government is not to be trusted to stop this madness. We are terrorized by our own system. And those of us who understand this reality lack the power to stop this hostile takeover, this political coup.

Nothing is okay! America is not okay! The majority of Americans are not okay! This is not a matter of politics as usual or my candidate lost, this is way worse than GWB and Darth Cheney. Trump is a domestic threat. The GOP are enemies of the state. This is not business as usual.

"Do you want a democracy or a demagogue?" Oprah Winfrey

Thank you Oprah Winfrey for summing up this election in one concise question. She was speaking about people who say, "I just don't know if I like her" - talking about Hillary. Oprah said something like, "she's not coming over to your house, you don't have to like her." And then Oprah asked this question, "do you want a democracy or a demagogue?"

I have no link. Maybe someone else read this too?

"Never underestimate the power of a Clinton campaign" said I.

Back when this campaign season began I repeatedly said to people, "never underestimate the power of a Clinton campaign." I said this because of my first hand experience with Bill Clinton's first campaign back in 1992. I was a college student on a campus with an overwhelming majority of Republicans, young and otherwise. I started the first campus organization for Democrats because I believe we need to be informed about both sides and we need to vote. Before this campus club for Democrats it had been decades since Democrats were represented at this university. But I digress, I was working in this election to register voters, GOTV, I was part of "the youth corps for Clinton/Gore and while working in this effort for months I was ridiculed by Young Republicans who told me repeatedly that Clinton had "no chance in hell" of being elected. And, by the way, this was the height of the "family values" era for the Republicans. I recall making signs to counter that fiction that read, "Family values, Bush teach Neil not to steal!" But, again, I digress, so Democrats kept working and finally it was Election Day. I remember going to the campus coffee shop that evening to watch the returns. Even then Young Republicans were taunting me in their dismissive tone, "dream on" and "it's never going to happen" and stuff like that. I replied "we'll see" which was my standard response. When the results started coming in it was like a blue wave, with a couple of red blotches here and there. So, again I say, never underestimate the power of a Clinton campaign.

Oh, and, that year at an event in Houston, Bill Clinton shook my hand and said, "I like your sign" which read, "Bush lives in Maine, this Texan for Clinton."

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Hell%20Hath%20No%20Fury

May this message be sent loud and clear to Donald!

Recently I created a thread about the suffragettes and suffragists and how I am grateful that those women fought for my right to vote and they kept fighting for decades to ensure that all women could vote. It is interesting in the last few weeks of this election cycle the leaked tape of Donald bragging about sexually assaulting women has created a situation where for once inches history of America, women are poised to honor those suffragettes and suffragists who were never able to legally vote. That in some clever uncanny twist of fate women can completely alter the course of this election by voting all across the nation while simultaneously repudiating and denouncing men like Trump who we have all encountered in one way or another in our lives; incidentally we can also cast votes to honor our female ancestors who endured this sexist, chauvinistic attitude in addition to being sexually harassed and assaulted throughout history. We have the power!

Nate Silver at 538 created a map of what the election results would look like if only women voted.

?quality=90&strip=all&w=575&ssl=1

I believe American women can surpass even that map. Women vote. Statistically and historically we vote more than men. And this year we are "mad as hell" Trump has scorned American women! Look out Trump. You did this.

"I am woman hear me roar, in numbers too big to ignore, I am strong, I am invincible..."
