Does anyone have any more details on this, i.e. what is replacing the login code (by this I guess FB means the code it sends you to use for two-step authorization when you log in on a device FB doesn't recognize) process?
I've Googled but can't find any info.
Question about an email I got from Facebook
Relevant text from the email:
"Soon, you wont need a login code for devices you frequently used Facebook on in the past 2 years.
If you want to keep using a login code for these devices, or if other people have access to them, you will need to opt out by November 12. "

Read All Of Donald Trump Jr.'s Bizarre Tweets After Hack
Donald Trump Jr.'s X, formerly Twitter, account appeared to be hacked on Wednesday morning, with a string of bizarre tweets posted.
"I'm sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024," Trump Jr.'s account wrote in the first post following the apparent hack on Wednesday morning.
In a series of other posts, which were captured in screenshots by Newsweek, Trump Jr.'s account was seen mentioning Jeffrey Epstein and North Korea.

Australian minister calls Trump Jr. a 'big baby' over cancelled tour
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian Home Minister Clare O'Neil on Thursday called Donald Trump Jr. a "big baby", after the son of the former U.S. president cancelled a planned speaking tour.
The younger Trump, who had been booked on a three-day tour of Australia that was scheduled to begin in Sydney on Sunday, cancelled the trip on Wednesday, with organisers suggesting the reason was visa issues.
"It seems America isn't the only country that makes it difficult for the Trumps," the group Turning Point Australia, that describes itself as a non-profit in favour of "free markets and limited government", said in a Facebook post.

Ranking Member Raskin Shares Key Evidence Directly Contradicting Bribery Allegations Touted by Rudy Giuliani and Oversight Chairman Comer

Press Release
Committee Republicans Use FBI Tipsheet to Revive Conspiracy Theories Rejected by Trumps Justice Department Years Ago
Washington, D.C. (June 29, 2023)Today, Rep. Jamie Raskin, Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, sent a letter to Chairman James Comer sharing the transcript of statements made by Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, to an associate of Rudy Giulianis directly contradicting allegations repeated in the FBI Form FD-1023 tipsheet, which the FBI made available to all Committee Members. Republican Committee Members identified Mr. Zlochevsky as the source of the information relayed to the FBI by a confidential human source (CHS) in the Form FD-1023. As part of the 2019 impeachment inquiry against then-President Trump, the Committee received a transcript created by associates of Mr. Giuliani recording statements by Mr. Zlochevsky that squarely rebut these allegations.
Despite being interviewed as part of a campaign by Mr. Giuliani and his proxies in 2019 and 2020 to procure damaging information about the Biden family, Mr. Zlochevsky explicitly and unequivocally denied those allegations. Specifically, Mr. Zlochevsky denied (1) that anyone at Burisma had any contacts with then former Vice President Biden or his representatives while Hunter Biden served on the Burisma board, and (2) that former Vice President Biden or his staff in any way assisted Mr. Zlochevsky or Burisma, wrote Ranking Member Jamie Raskin in the letter.
As both the FBI and Mr. Giuliani himself stated, the unverified, second-hand allegations in the June 2020 Form FD-1023 largely repeated allegations Mr. Giuliani shared previously with the FBI.

The Department of Justice is prepared to seek indictments against multiple figures in former president Donald Trumps orbit and may yet bring additional charges against the ex-president in the coming weeks, The Independent has learned.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the department has made preparations to bring what is known as a superseding indictment a second set of charges against an already-indicted defendant that could include more serious crimes against the ex-president in the Southern District of Florida.
But prosecutors may also choose to bring additional charges against Mr Trump in a different venue, depending on how they feel the case they have brought against him in is proceeding.
