My neighbor just knocked on the door to break the news and it is confirmed by my local paper. tRump has come to Montana a couple of times but I never imagined he’d come to blue Missoula and I’m so upset about it. I called my husband in tears...it feels like a violation to me...he says I’m overreacting and he laughed and said he wanted to see what I’d look like in an orange jumpsuit for my mugshot because he knows I’ll be on the front lines of the protest. He didn’t help my level of distress. tRump must really think he can take Jon Tester down. I need to get a grip, I know. I’m shocked at how upset I am.

Montana Senator Steve Daines Will Use Private Jet To Make Kavanagh Vote If Needed.

HELENA — U.S. Sen. Steve Daines says he'll return to Washington D.C. by private jet on his daughter's wedding day if Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court comes down to the Montana Republican's vote.
Daines said in a statement to The Associated Press Friday that his good friend and colleague, U.S. Rep. Greg Gianforte, "has come to save the day" by offering him use of his private jet.

Silver Linings.
Amidst the stress and chaos of what is our new normal, I’m working hard to keep focus on the beautiful and meaningful moments of life. In America, we are gifted more than our share of these. Today, at 11am MST, when Omarosa plans a release of yet another recording of something shameful, I will be at the federal courthouse in my town attending a ceremony to swear in new citizens of this great country.
My friend, Evelyn, a native of Indonesia will become an American. Evelyn came to this country with her husband looking for a better life. She gave birth to a son in this country. Working several jobs, she put her husband through school, bought a home and cared for their son. Her husband became abusive, he diminished and ridiculed her. He cheated on her and told her she was nothing....she was “brown”. When she finally left the SOB, he kept her son, took money from her savings and sold their home. She persisted. She couldn’t divorce this man without going home to Indonesia which she could not afford so she did the only thing she could do...apply for citizenship, study and do the work. She did it in secret...not even her son knew until today. Today Evelyn becomes an American and next week her no good abusive spouse gets served divorce papers.
Today, Evelyn becomes an American and there’s nothing the WH can do to stop her.
Listening to a live Pearl Jam concert
at Washington Grizzly Stadium here in Missoula, Montana from the comfort of my back yard. The concert is a mile or so away and all of us here in the ‘hood are enjoying the benefit of not being in the mayhem but still hearing the show as plain as day. The concert is benefit for Montana’s Senator Jon Tester’s re-election campaign. We just heard Eddie Vedder imploring the crowd to get out the vote and that Election Day should be a national holiday...but until it is, we have to do whatever it takes to make sure our votes count. Voting is the great equalizer for all of us. The crowd went wild...

Who Wrote The Melania Tweet? And Why?
It seems to be general consensus that the First Lady did not write her latest tweet stating that all is well and she is at the WH working hard on children's issues. So, if she didn't write that tweet, who did? Why?
Today Thom Hartmann entertained a brief discussion on the topic and discussed several theories as to why Melania hasn't been seen in public for 20+ days. Hartmann went so far as to wonder out loud if something happened to the First Lady similar to what happened to Martha Mitchell during the Watergate investigation. He in no way stated that there was a conspiracy to silence Melania. He drew no conclusions. He only stated that if those in power wanted to shut a woman up who knew too much, they could...and they did exactly that to Martha Mitchell.
I confess I didn't know much about Martha Mitchell so I looked her up and read several articles. What happened to her was horrifying. There's a lot about Martha Mitchell online. Some of us have joked about the First Lady's absence of late, me included. However, it might be worth considering that there could be something else going on, especially when someone sent a tweet that clearly wasn't written by her. Melania isn't my favorite person for a millions reasons but we I think we can agree that she is married to a monster who is capable of terrible words and actions. It's possible that Melania is diligently working away in her offices in the WH. Maybe she's truly ill and is trying to protect her privacy. Maybe she's had it with her lying, cheating husband and has gone back to NYC or to live with her parents. Regardless, this is very unusual for a First Lady. As a woman and a mother myself, I'm just wondering out loud.

They’re talking about the Comey book and how Dotard allegedly implored Comey to believe that the pee pee story wasn’t true...anyway there’s a split screen with the discussion panel on one side and a live shot of the WH bathed in yellow light! Seriously! Somebody has a sense of humor at MSNBC. Tell me someone else saw it!
So my child just asked me
if he should comply with a fire drill by leaving his classroom because what if it isn’t a drill and somebody is waiting to shoot him? This is where we fucking are. These are the conversations we’re having in our house tonight. God damn it.

One of you lovely people gifted me with a heart this morning. You have no idea how much I needed it...I came in from shoveling snow out of my chicken coop that had drifted in overnight. I was grumpy and mad at the snow and the heart melted my sour demeanor.
