dreamland's JournalI thought I loved books
I was at our town pool where they had shelves of free books for the public to take and read at their leisure. As usual, I'm always looking for an interesting book to read, when a few titles popped out at me - "Arguing with Idiots", "N is for Noose", "A Nation of Strangers", and "Dark Side of Camelot". I'm not familiar with these books except that the titles struck me as disturbing and, with the exception of Glenn Beck, am not familiar with any of the authors. I did the unthinkable. I took those books and threw them in the garbage without knowing the content of these books. From someone whose love for books, does not even extend towards bending a corner of even a textbook, this was a dastardly act. I just hope I picked the right books out but I couldn't bear to see such titles sitting next to children's books.
The immigration separation policy will be better received
...in the coming months because after several months in a detention center the children will have run out of tears. The younger ones will begin to forget the loving hugs of their mothers and fathers. The older kids will be adjusted to the new "system" and know how not to draw attention from the security guards. These kids wills become shells of who they are as they become sedated for being to "difficult to handled". At that time, some of the press and officials will be allowed to trickle in and see a pacified group of kids. The public outrage will have crescendo and begin a descent from their outrage. This is the embodiment of evil incarnate.
This child separation policy is costing us millions
The amount of money that this administration is spending is stratospheric in enforcing the child separation policy. I have not seen the cost expenditures mentioned anywhere, but the cost of government contracts to house them, travel cost, medical cost and legal costs probably run into the mega millions. This "kidnapping" will cost us more money on fixing the problem in years to come and he still won't get his border wall.
Democrats are the ones who want the child separation policy
... says some die-hard Republicans. Can anyone name a democratic Rep who has sided with this policy? So far, Mrs. Bush has written a scathing letter against this, so it's obvious that the democrats are supporting this. Mention Dianne Feinstein or Jeff Merkley and they are like 'Who'? How the hell do I argue against this stupid logic from dumb folks who are too lazy to read the news? I can't stand it. Can we get Obama or Clinton to make a bigger statement against this? I know it's not good policy for any past Presidents to criticize a sitting President, but come one! Someone's got to be out and fighting this. I feel like we're the Lilliputians in tRumps Gulliver.
