First I thought it was the Jehovah's Witnesses again

but when I got to the door Sunday afternoon, there stood a young man from the county Democratic Committee, out signing people up to volunteer for the party. I was overjoyed for a couple of reasons: this is the first time outside of an election (when local candidates do show up to introduce themselves) the party is getting ahead of the game, and--more important--this was a *young* person, maybe early twenties, spending part of his weekend doing Glob's work. And he wasn't some weaselly little snot who wouldn't be able to get a date, either--good-looking, great smile--hell, I'd go out with him.

And I took the opportunity to ask him about voter suppression in our area, and he confirmed what I and many of you suspected: there isn't any because, he explained, we're pretty much a heterogeneous population, so who are you going to suppress?

Are there publicly-available lists of voters who've been purged?

If so, wouldn't it be a good project for country Democratic committees to assign volunteers to visit each of them and help them to register properly, as Democrats (of course)? I'd be willing to spend time doing this, and I bet a lot of other retired people would, too.

DiNardo: Human remains found

Police found a 12 1/2 foot deep grave covered with cement on the DiNardo farm in Solebury Twp PA last night, and have identified some of the remains found there as being the body of one of the four young men who went missing a week ago. Cadaver dogs led them to the site. Definitely homicide, but no cause of death has been released to the public. The body identified is that of Dean Andres Finnocchiaro, who was 19 years old.

I notice Trump did not do his trademark shake and jerk handshake with Putin

but actually behaved like a normal person. Putin surely has something good on Trump to make him scared to use his "I'm the boss here" handshake.

Don't forget to tweet/google "25th Amendment" today and every day

because when it's trending, he's suffering.

You know you're dealing with a ruthless counter puncher

who hits back ten times harder when a guy responds to questions about his mental health by making fun of a woman who may or may not have had a facelift. We are dealing with one very tough guy, this president* of ours.

(I know I'm repeating myself, but I think it's important to put Trump's vaunted street fighter creds in proportion)

Is this the best he can do? What's next? "Joe Poopy-pants"?

Taunting a woman about a facelift

is "hitting back ten times harder?" OOoooooh. What a tough guy.

Poor Donald Trump

He doesn't understand. Joe and Mika were saying bad things about him (so he was told), and yet they wanted to come to Mar-A-Lago for New Year's.

Children learn this early: if you have really nice toys that no one else has, lots of kids will want to come play at your house. This does not mean, however, that you will be invited to their birthday parties.

How did he grow up a rich kid and not understand that people will tolerate you for the chance to benefit, if only by going to big parties, from your wealth?

I need help understanding what I've done to break the rules

I've had several posts removed in the past few days, and I don't understand why. I went over the rules again, and I still don't know what I did wrong. Since the posts are gone, I can't go back and look at them to see where I messed up. Is there a way I can retrieve removed posts, not to repost them but to examine them so I can try not to make the same mistakes?

Understand, I'm not questioning the rules or that I broke the rules. I'm sure I did, if my posts were removed. I just need to know specifically what I did wrong, so I won't do it again.

I would not bother with this except that it's happened so often lately. I really need to know what my errors are.

Thanks for any help.
