My sister called, she lives in Chicago, Illinois and is now forced to move due to the extremely high taxes on their property and sales taxes. She is retired and on a fixed income but due to the upcoming tax increases she has no alternative but to relocate. Any suggestions as to where is the best progressive place for a retired fixed income person to move to? She says every time she turns around a new tax is implemented, now there is one on beverages, she is extremely frustrated at this.
She is very progressive but does not have internet access due to costs, so I told her I would try to get some input from others.
Any ideas?
