Cyber Attacks

Has anyone recently had computer problems while here on DU? I was up at my University last night, surfing the internet, and I was on DU. Right at the end of the night I got a bunch of notices of Malware suddenly popping up on my screen. I shut everything down quickly. I am on a different computer now, here the next day.

I have been on this site on and off for several years and I have rarely had technical problems. I worry about Russian cyber attacks or cyber attacks from Alt Right bad actors. I believe that DU has been a hacked before. I seem to remember something happened when Trump got elected. Some sort of cyber attack here. It seems like DU may be a target for some bad actors.

Anyway, I am not too technical, but I worry about being hacked, having my devices damaged, or someone getting access to my accounts. Does anyone have any suggestions about what can be done to be safer here online? I want to continue to read and post here, but I worry about this site's security. Thanks.

Trump Dictatorship

We need to start thinking about resisting a second Trump term now. The best solution is for Joe Biden to be re-elected, but we must be prepared for a possible electoral loss to Trump. I remember when Trump first ran in 2016. The pundits and so-called experts laughed and said Trump would never win the nomination, and would never be President. We must not make the same mistake. A second Trump term might be the end of American democracy. And it might happen.

I think that if Trump were re-elected, he would be surrounded by organized MAGA fascists like Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, and Stephen Miller. These people have outlined what will happen in a second term. Project 2025 is a very clear fascist blue print.

I think that Trump would declare Martial Law and activate the Insurrection Act. I think that he would mobilize the Army and give them police powers to round people up and put them into detention camps. I think that he might try to suspend the Constitution. I think that he might try to declare himself President for Life. This would be a clear MAGA Trump Dictatorship.

A question is- how would we respond if Trump were re-elected and tried to do any of these things? They are clearly illegal and in violation of our highest law- the U.S. Constitution. One answer might be that we need to identify military, police, and Justice Department individuals that are loyal to the Constitution and not to Trump. We may see a division in the government, the military, and law enforcement. We may have a conflict between those that are loyal to Democracy, America, and the Constitution versus those that are loyal to Trump. So we must oppose a Trump Dictatorship. And defend the Constitution and our Democracy.

Civil War

If Trump gets re-elected we may enter into a Post Democracy America. We may have an actual Civil War. It will start with round-ups and detentions of immigrants. Once the Trump Regime has normalized rounding people up and putting them into camps, they will not stop at rounding up immigrants. They may also send the police and the military into cities to round up the homeless and also anyone that the Regime considers a dissident and a political opponent.

The MAGAs plan to activate the Insurrection Act on day one. So anyone that protests against the Regime, Black Lives Matter, Anti-Fascists, or anyone that opposes Trump and demonstrates, they can all be rounded up and put into detention camps. Those that resist may be shot. Political enemies of the Trump MAGA faction with be charged with treason and rounded up. Trump will gut the Justice Department and staff it with MAGA fascists who will be directed to arrest opponents of Trump, including journalists in the major media.

So the detentions will start with immigrants but will not stop there. Liberals and progressives could be targeted. Black, Brown, and Indigenous people may be targeted. Jewish people may be targeted. Muslim people would also be targeted. Asian and Pacific Islanders also. LBGTQ+ will be targeted as well. The physically and mentally disabled may be targeted also. Basically anyone that is not a conservative, white Christian Nationalist will be targeted.

It will probably start with immigrants and once that happens they will incrementally move on to other groups. What may be required is armed resistance. Those different groups of people that the Trump MAGA Regime will target should all band together and resist any kind of round ups and detentions. If they can do it to immigrants, that will be a test case that will allow them to do that to other groups.

We also must seek allies in the Military, the Justice Department, the Police, and any and all Law Enforcement Agencies that the Trump Regime will try to activate as fascist troops. All the soldiers and the cops must understand that rounding people up is against the Constitution and so any order to round up and detain people is an illegal and unconstitutional order. There will be some MAGA sympathizers that will follow these orders. We must identify and support those military and police that recognize that these are illegal orders and should not be executed.

We must be prepared and united to resist. The Trump MAGAs and the Project 2025 people are fascists and this time period we are in is similar to the time in Germany just before Hitler took over and consolidated power. Many Germans thought that Hitler could be controlled but he could not be. He was elected legally, and once elected he gradually took over and dissolved German democracy until he established an authoritarian Nazi Regime. Trump and his MAGA cronies are just a modern American version of that. Real American Fascists. We must hope for an electoral victory by Biden, but we must be prepared to have an active and organized resistance should Trump get re-elected.

Trump The Tyrant

The above video claims that Trump wants to be a King. This would apply, except a King has to have a sense of nobility and honor to be a real King. What they are referring to here is a Tyrant or a Dictator. Trump is no King. He has zero honor, no nobility. In fact, negative honor. Dishonor. Trump is all Tyrant and Dictator wannabe. An obnoxious and disgusting one to boot. The opposite of noble. So not a wannabe King. Rather a wannabe Tyrant and Dictator. These are more accurate terms.

Who Is More Dangerous?

Who is more dangerous- Trump or Haley? It is Trump hands down. He wants to suspend the Constitution, mobilize the Military against American citizens, and put millions of people into concentration camps. I doubt that Haley is so dangerous and crazy. She is an odious conservative, but she is not a deranged sociopath like Trump.

So Haley is bad, but Trump is far, far worse. I would rather risk losing to Haley rather than risk losing to Trump. And I think that Joe can beat either of them. So I think that the sooner Trump is out of the race, the better.

Haley Versus Trump

I would rather risk losing to Haley rather than Trump. Haley is an odious conservative, but Trump is a crazy, incompetent, and dangerous sociopath who wants to be a dictator. Haley is a safer, more conventional opponent. Trump is a greater danger. Anyway, I think that Biden could beat either of them, but I would feel better running against Haley rather than the MAGA dictator wannabe Trump.

Trump's Biggest Mistake

Trump should have never come down that escalator and run for the Presidency in the first place. He was doing fine running his New York fake real estate and game show scam. He was a comical side show at best. Now he has brought holy hell down on his own head.

I doubt that he would have been over run with civil and criminal cases had he never run for the Presidency. He has brought all of this down on his own head. He is in danger of losing all of his money, his New York businesses, and he may land in jail. None of this would have happened if he had just shut up and stayed in New York. He put a target on his own back when he ran for the Presidency.

He may be destroyed by his own sociopathic vanity. This is why he is desperate to be re-elected. It may be the only way that he stays out of jail and retains any of his so-called fortune. Donnie should never stuck his neck out and ran for the Presidency in the first place. If he loses all of his money and lands in jail, he will regret it all. Dummy.

Nikki Haley

Another reason that Nikki Haley should stay in the race as long as possible- should Trump get convicted of a felony before the Republican National Convention, Haley could be waiting in the wings to take the Republican nomination. This could be the case should significant numbers of Republicans oppose Trump if he is convicted of a felony. South Carolina is winner take all so Haley might not get any delegates if she does come in second, but if she continues to stay in the Primary race, there are a number of states that awards delegates proportionally. So Haley does not need to have a majority of the delegates. She just needs to have a substantial amount of delegates so that she could mobilize a floor vote at the convention should Trump be convicted of a felony.
