crazycatlady's JournalAnyone else having trouble reaching their Senator?
I'm trying to get on Bob Menendez to oppose Jeff Sessions. I've called his local and DC offices and can't get through.
My other senator (Cory Booker) is vocally opposed to Sessions.

Has DU done this before
My time here isn't accurate as I used to post under a different SN (came back after a break) tabbycat31.
But I haven't seen this previously (or missed it). Since we need to build our bench, does DU ever highlight a candidate and do moneybombs (or remote phonebanking) for them?
We have two state legislatures up this year as well as two governor's mansions. Perhaps we should highlight some candidates that we should help.
What's next for the women's marches?
I attended one with half a million fellow sisters in NYC yesterday. As someone who's worked on campaigns before and organized events, I noticed a few things lacking.
1) No sort of sign-in sheets. These marches were a missed opportunity to stay in touch with future opportunities for activism and making your voices heard. Also a good way to generate leads for donors and volunteers.
2) No immediate action to take. No petitions, fundraising, etc.
3) VOTER REGISTRATION. While most people who are marching are probably already registered to vote, it would still be an opportunity to expand the electorate. I noticed many high school aged girls there who will possibly come of age before the next election. In addition, people move and need to update their registration.
4) No communications of what comes next. The work is far from over, people want to help, but what's next?
How to stay involved in politics between elections (article

So I just bought the materials to make my NYC women's march sign. I want it to be something along the lines of 'pussy grabs back' playing up the double meaning of pussy (other meaning cat) and drawing a 'political' feline (with the stars a la the Democratic Donkey and GOP Elephant).
Would you do THIS PUSSY GRABS BACK or PUSSY GRABS BACK
