Who would win the 2024 MD US Senate Election if

Ben Cardin decides not to seek re-election and the Democratic nominee is Anthony Brown and the Republican nominee is Larry Hogan.

The 2024 MD US Senate Election between Brown-D and Hogan-R will be similar to the 2012 HI US Senate Election between Hirono-D and Lingle-R.

HI
2002 Lt Governor Mazie Hirono-D narrowly lost the 2002 HI Governors Election to Linda Lingle-R.
2006 Hirono-D gets elected to the US House. Lingle wins re-election to the HI Governorship.
2012- Hirono-D defeats Lingle-R in the 2012 HI US Senate Election by a landslide margin.

MD
2014 Lt Governor Anthony Brown-D narrowly loses the 2014 MD Governors Election to Larry Hogan.
2016 Anthony Brown gets elected to the US House.
2018 Larry Hogan gets re-elected to the MD Governorship.

If Jim Cooper decides to run for the US Senate in 2024,

Will he do better or worse than he did in 1994 against Arthur Branch?

The 2022 MD US Senate Election is now in a very safe D column.

Larry Hogan-R is not running. Any chance Hogan runs for the US Senate in 2024 if Cardin-D decides to retire. Democrats have plenty of strong candidates in 2024.-
John Sarbanes-D
Anthony Brown-D
Donna Edwards-D
Glen Ivey-D
John Delaney-D
David Trone-D
Jamie Raskin-D

If Mark Kelly wins re-election to the US Senate by a wider than expected margin and

the Democrats win the AZ Governorship and other AZ statewide offices, Will Sinema start behaving like a Democrat. Since Sinema got elected to the US Senate, Biden carried AZ and Kelly got elected to the US Senate. Republicans hold every other statewide offices in AZ except for Secretary of State(Katie Hobbs-the likely 2022 Democratic nominee for Governor.) Supretendent of Public Instructions(Kathy Hoffman) and both Corporate commissioner positions.
