If Doug Jones wins the 2017 AL US Senate Election but loses re-election in 2020,

Doug Jones could be appointed US Attorney General if a Democrat wins the 2020 US Presidential Election or run for the US Senate or Governor of AL in 2022 when Shelby-R or Ivey-R decide not to seek re-election.

Charles Barkley, an Alabama native and Kasich supporter in the 2016 US Presidential Election is supporting Doug Jones. Barkley claims that Moore inviting Steve Bannon to campaign for Moore is a disqualifier. Will having Barkley in Alabama campaigning for Jones be helpful? He can energize the black vote and appeal to moderate Republicans.

2018 OH Governors Race- What is the likelihood of Richard Cordray entering the race?

If Cordray enters the 2018 OH Governors Race, Wins in the Democratic Primary and the November General Election, and Brown wins re-election to the US Senate in 2018. Would this increase the likelihood of Sherrod Brown being on the 2020 Democratic Presidential/Vice Presidential Ticket? If a Democrat occupies the OH Governorship during and after the 2020 Election, Sherrod Brown's successor will be a Democrat-Betty Sutton- succeeded Brown in the US House in 2006.
