Let us all send healing vibrations to this remarkable woman who has done so much for others. PLEASE put Justice Ginsburg on your prayer list. If you meditate with a group, please ask the group to pray for her regularly. Send this message to all of your friends who care. If you Twit, Twitter it! Keep those healing vibes flowing!

Let's move on - from outrage to action

We are all outraged and need to vent, but we also need to do something concrete to stop the rise of the radical right. One of the ways they came into power was by spreading vicious fake-news stories through their sleazy tabloid headlines. We see them whenever we shop at the grocery store. HILLARY GOING TO JAIL FOR MURDER COVER-UP! LYING OBAMA'S MUSLIM SPIES IN THE CIA! These papers incite hatred, division and fear in our country. We support those stores with our money and we can make them stop carrying these fake-news tabloids if we ban together. Please sign our Move On petition to do just that.

And here is a link to an article from Politico about the damage the tabloids do. If you don't want to read the whole article, please at least read this one paragraph from it:

Itís easy to imagine that tabloids donít matter; the Enquirer is a relatively small voice in the media kingdom . . . But that misses the importance of the constant cultural background noise it adds to American life: There are 37,000 supermarkets in America, with an average of about 10 checkout stands each, and many stands feature a wire rack displaying the Enquirer, the Globe, often the companyís other tab, the National Examiner, and celebrity magazines. According to an industry study, American households make an average of 1.5 trips to the supermarket each week. Every customer passes by the checkout stand, which means that even people who never purchase a tabloid still absorb the ambient headlines, and those headlines can shape their view of the world.
