Republican Congressman Falls Apart And Admits That Sick People Will Be Screwed On Trumpcare
Source: Politicus USA
By Jason Easley on Fri, Mar 10th, 2017 at 4:16 pm
Rep. Bill Flores (R-TX) fell apart while MSNBCs Kate Snow was questioning him on what would happen if someone got sick while on the Republican Obamacare replacement plan. His answers revealed that folks would be screwed.
(snip)
What Flores was admitting was sick people are going to be left with few options under Trumpcare. You wont be able to go on Medicaid, because after the first two years, Medicaid is going to be cut. The only option for a person who gets sick will be to get into an expensive high-risk pool that will limit their coverage.
Rep. Flores also admitted that Republicans are going to be raising prices and rationing care. The point designing policies and limiting what people can buy based on age is to give older individuals less health care.

Nonsense! Older people will have GREAT health care!
If they happen to be members of Congress.

Budget referee may call foul on Obamacare repeal

The fate of Obamacare may lie in the hands of a number-crunching Republican appointee whose bottom line might single-handedly blow up the GOP quest to repeal and replace it.
Congressional Budget Office Director Keith Hall was handpicked two years ago by top Republicans in Congress -- including now Health and Human Service Secretary Tom Price -- to lead a nonpartisan office that will soon release its estimate of how many Americans the Republican health care bill will cover and whether it shrinks or balloons the federal deficit.
With the House repeal bill under attack by Republican moderates worrying about coverage and conservatives fuming about entitlements and spending, the CBO assessment will matter. Its widely expected early next week.
Hall, in the post for two years, has already signaled that his office won't soft-pedal the coverage assessments. If a health plan doesn't have comprehensive benefits, it won't count as coverage. Fearing a bad CBO "score," Republicans facing backlash in their drive to gut Obamacare are turning the budget agency and its team of professional economic analysts into a punching bag as they try to discredit it.

Judge resigns over rape trial comment: 'Why couldn't you just keep your knees together?'
Source: Washington Post
By Derek Hawkins March 10 at 4:20 AM
A Canadian federal judge who asked an alleged rape victim in court why she couldnt just keep your knees together resigned Thursday, after a judicial panel released a scathing report calling for him to be removed from office.
Justice Robin Camp of the Alberta Federal Court came under fire in 2014 for badgering the woman during trial about whether she could have done more to defend herself against the man she claimed had attacked her. The Canadian Judicial Council conducted a 15-month review of the exchange after receiving dozens of complaints from the public.
In its report Thursday, the council found that Camps conduct was manifestly and profoundly destructive of the concept of impartiality, integrity and independence.
Public confidence is sufficiently undermined to render the judge incapable of executing the judicial office, the council wrote. The judges removal is warranted.

GOP Cannibalism: I'm Lovin' It!
On Thursday, conservative media outlets continued to grapple with GOP infighting over the proposed Republican Affordable Care Act replacement.
Many publications suggested that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was responsible for the discord. In Paul Ryans Self-Inflicted, Healthcare Disaster, for example, Heat Street concluded,Maybe Democrats have been right all along, maybe the GOP really is the party of stupid. Only a group of idiots could roll out such a poorly-crafted piece of legislation that it actually makes the old Obamacare look good. Ryans not standing in the corner with a dunce cap on, hes proudly wearing it and smiling in front of the American people.
The Daily Caller, meanwhile, promoted a combative interview between Ryan and Tucker Carlson, emphasizing Carlsons questions about congressional inaction under Ryans direction. National Review also took up this angle, writing that the GOP has proven gun-shy before going on to argue, This is the kind of thing that happens when a party has no leaders.
